b0ne and Tehonator, thanks for the tips, I certainly try both of them out.
Bone, yes I WAS serious, yet again, im young to the editor as i started messing around with it only a few days ago. Im sorry if i seem like an idiot, but I don't know exactly what im doing yet.
Terhonator, I think your approach seems more simple and easy to figure out, I'll consider it firstly. Thank you for the response.
Hey! Im working on a map involving a trigger being used when the map initializes, in which while the player has units in a specific regions, enemy units spawn at "spawn points" (regular points on the map) to attack the players units.
Currently, I have a trigger such as:
Events
Unit - Any unit enters within 1.0 of (Random point in Region006)
Local Variables
Unit - Any Unit <unit>
Region - Spawn Point 1 <point>
Conditions
Actions
General - While (conditions) are true, do (Actions)
Conditions
((Triggering Unit) is in Region 006) == true
Actions
Unit - create 6 marine for player 2 at spawn point 1 facing 270.0 degrees (No Options)
General - Wait 5.0 Game Time seconds
Its seems as though the trigger only works every once in a while, and not in the fashion that I want it to. I want it to spawn the 6 marines, every 5 seconds. When it does work for some reason, it seems to speed up the amount of waiting time, and eventually I just get a huge ball of marines attacking my units that I didn't want to see.
Now I'm very, very new to triggers and am still confused about how a lot of it works, so a detailed break down of what im doing wrong would really help.
sorry to blatantly interrupt here and ask such a n00b question, but will there be any way to play this soon? It does not seem as though its uploaded to this website. I know from posts above that the new crappy Bnet is keeping you from releasing it there, due to some bugs.
Hey there ScMapsterians, My name is Qwerl, and i'm not too sure why.
I love this game so far, and it almost surpasses Brood War in my opinion.
I love playing competitively though i'm not exactly a pro. I have a warm place in my heart for Custom maps and cannot wait to see what the SC2 Community will pump out. I am particularly looking forward to FPS games.(aren't we all?)
I mostly play 4v4, but most of the people are people who cannot play. well. Which ticks me off :S
If i were to help design a map, it would have to be something with terrain and/or unit placement. I have no idea about how to use triggers. I have not really experimented with them, though i'm sure its easy once you know how.
Well i would love to finally start meeting people for SC2 as i currently only have a few friends, and no dedicated team to play with.
My Ingame is Qwerl, and friend code is 413
I look forward to the near future within this community.
