It didn't actually have a proper stand animation. So I reimported the model,
I did manage to get it to work with one of the built in units, specifically the stalker. But for some reason it just refuses to work for my custom unit. So now I think the problem is with the unit itself. Does anyone know what this could be?
Bit of an update, I've managed to correct a few of the links. It turns out I somehow accidently linked it to the wrong projectile unit. The archers are dealing damage now, but the projectile itself is still not showing up. But neither are the orbs. So I'm going to double check the actors and models next.
Well, I double checked. I did remember to create the model for the missile, use that model for the missile actor and link that actor to the missile unit. Does anyone have any ideas?
So, I've found a couple of tutorials about creating a unit from scratch and I like to think that I've followed them pretty closely but obviously I've done something wrong. I'm trying to create an archer with a ranged attack that actually fires arrows. I've imported a model for the arrow, created two separate actors, unit, launch and damage effects.
And this is what's happening:
The archers are trying to attack the tower, but the arrows aren't launching. Instead, those little orbs are spawning at their feet. None of the archers are actually dealing any damage and I think it's because they have the launch effect rather than the damage effect. The damage effect has been given to the arrow unit.
Please help. I've been trying to get this to work for a while now.
I'm trying to attach a piece of armour to a unit following Feralingono's tutorial and I've come to the point where I get to actually attach the actor to the unit. The problem I'm having is when I try to enter the attachment point under values all that comes up is (Unknown). Right clicking it does nothing.
I've tried searching for the attachment point in that same window too, but when I hit enter the window closes.
Is this a bug? Or am I just doing something wrong?
I'm having a problem with this. I'm fine right up until I'm testing the animations in 3ds Max. It doesn't appear that the helm, shoulders or weapon have linked correctly. I'm having a lot of trouble finding this model's attachment points and I'm beginning to think that they're probably missing. I'm not sure how to check because I have no idea how to bring up that green sphere thing.
My map employs the use of a first person camera and I am having a problem with it. When the camera is moved using the mouse curser or the middle click, it knocks the camera off centre. And you can imagine the problem I'm having with the mouse wheel zoom in/out.
At the moment, I have a trigger that causes a message to display on screen, instructing the player to manually disable these options themselves, but I've realised how annoying that would become over time.
I can't seem to find any trigger that will do this for the player. Any ideas?
EDIT: I should add that I have tried "Lock Camera Imput", but that then locked the first person camera in plan rendering it completely useless.
I have a Hero Defense map in the works and I've just got the Hero Revival trigger to work. When the Hero reaches a very low amount of health - in this case, 10% - it is hidden, replaced by clone of that same unit which is immediately killed and the hero reappears ready for combat a few seconds later. Essentially, I've created the illusion that the hero dies. There is only one problem; If the hero takes damage that equals greater than the hero's 10% health, it actually is killed and the trigger doesn't work.
Does anyone know if there is a way to set the minimum amount of health to 1 - making it unable to die - without using triggers?

I'm not sure. What is the right target point?

Here's a screenshot of what's happening.

@Helral: Go
That solved the curser scroll problem, but not the mouse wheel or arrow key problem. : /
Will try the camera section thing next.

Thank you!
The Valerian behavior was exactly what I was looking for. Added it to all of my heroes and it works perfectly.
