    hey sorry to bump sort of resolved topics but i'm trying to create a similar buff and i cant seem to find the "shield recharge rate" property anywhere as a behavior buff??? only shows "shield armor bonus" and "shield armor multiplier".

    i'm new at the custom abilities thing so did you set up the ability like this?

    (name) _AbilBehavior_ - behaviors -(name) _BehaviorBuff_

    lol got that to work. for some reason when i tried that at first, the command card button did not show up :/ but its working now.

    and i just modded the cost from 10 hp to 50 energy (yup my dt had energy atm) so i think that's all good

    I still would like to figure out how custom buffs work. know good tuts that explain the basics?

    Hi all, noob editor question.

    I've been trying to familiarize my self with the data module and have been able to find tuts for most of the unit changes want to make for a map idea. but i cant seem to figure out creating custom buffs.

    essentially I want to make an effect that increases the caster's speed movement speed by X and lasts for Y seconds.

    it will be for a dark templar and the reason i add this is cause simply slapping charge or stimpack on him didn't seem to work, no button even, when i added it. figure it was because of the models/actors involved in those effects. For my own benefit, someone can explain the reasons for this incompatibility if ya want to.
