    Piercing Spine definitely the theme of a hydra. How about impale of Cryptlord from WC3?

    Impale: sends seismic spines to move forward, any enemy unit stand on the wake will be impaled. Deal x damage and stun y sec.

    For the wave we have burrow dust effect, impale <= we have sunken colony attack effect.

    Up to now, Kheldrun has 3 AOE spells (Dark Swarm, Plague and Psi Storm). Pretty weird.....

    Psi Storm wouldn't fit anymore (its effect isn't fit with the other)

    My suggestion: Use Spine Barrage, Impale or any other AOE damage spell instead of Psi Storm (there are so many ways to prove a unit is psionic)

    As you said: Kheldrun is not a cannibal and he need low energy cost spell..how about consume (again). This spell is from Defiler (again). Kheldrun instantly kill a target Zerg unit then he gain HP (add it) and energy (old effect of Consume). If you like, you could make Kheldrun goes frenzy (andreline) when he consume a unit, boots his AS and MS.

    Lurker Den morph were there at first, lurker attack, disease cloud or Razor Plague also there before. ..check out the Spire Morph model (old....were there)...pretty cool...why Blizz didn't put it in the beta? Or they did but I didn't know?

    Ok, there aren't any new models, just a rumor............

    I thought Plague deals percentage damage??? Use set for periodic effect in Plague behavior, search AOE (actually for the plague-ed unit), if picked unit Hp equal to 1 then remove the buff (I don't know if we can remove buff with data editor) <= (I tried to help but laggy Internet doesn't :(( ) Hydra uses his spines most so..... Why don't you use Acid ..... (forgot the name). That skill drop a bomb of acid on target then spread to nearby enemy unit. It doesn't reduce armor but deal bonus damage when it takes damage.

    Spine Barrage should be base on Psi Storm (for AOE cursor). Search AOE for enemy unit then launch missile to them. Impact effect is "set", 2 other effects are damage and add "armor reduce" behavior. This skill should be easy to create (I made psionic barrage but have spread damage instead.

    An Aura that drains nearby enemy unit energy? Detonate a zerg unit, gives energy to the caster and deal damage around the target? (Improved Consume)

    Maybe you just need to recover some ability from SCI, they are unique in SCII.

    Do not make the hydra too protoss-ish even though he is psionic. I prefer more bio-psionical things for a zerg hero or no psionic at all (bio is enough)

    But if you love sth psionical, I will think sth fun.....

    Spine Barrage: release 10 spine fly slowly in front of "hero", then release it with devastating speed, randomly attack enemy unit within (AOE) and reduce armor.

    Use behavior with time scale modify to 0.01... Basically, this will freeze the unit movement speed, attack speed, turning speed, cating speed, any speed included animation speed....... Maybe there is another way.

    In behavior modification, there is a field called Time Scale.. Reduce it to 0.01 would make affected unit nearly freeze (MS,AS,Cast speed, whatever are reduced to 0.01) This is useful to slow down anything, missile is a little too fast to they still move in near normal speed.

    Combine with suppress Attack or Movement would make affected unit freeze completely (As its time scale is 0.01 so the animation is freeze too!)

    I think this is the right place to ask (well, you guys are playing around with dark swarm basse on guardian shield) How can I detach the effect of the guardian shield (Persistents) to affect only on the area I casted it not to follow the caster anymore? I tried to change the location in pesistent but I got no luck....

    WEll, my first thread here..... I have some question, it might useful for me and someone though.... 1. How can I make an effect that drop all missile down to the ground like Time Bomb in the trailer? 2. Can someone explain how can I modify the movement of missile, I know I should play around with mover but I don't get most of the line there...
