Now I have this other problem. When I calldown the SCV the drop pod DOES appear, but when I calldown the Marine the drop pod DOESN'T appear and then the marine appears suddenly out of nothing after 6 game time seconds.
And I see absolutely no difference between the two abilities aside from creating a marine instead of an SCV and linking to other effects (duplicates of the originals).
I think it might have to do with actors, but in the ability stats and effects and stuff like that I don't see any...
If I copy triggers, none of my 'enters' copy.
In example, this is a fully copy-ed action, containing about 20 enters:
Create Text Tag
Text: "+1"
Players: Convert Player To Player Group
Player: Owner Of Unit
Unit: Commander
Index 1: Arithmetic (Integer)
Value 1: X
Operator: -
Value 2: 1
Font Size: 24
Point: Position Of Unit
Unit: Commander
Index 1: Arithmetic (Integer)
Value 1: X
Operator: -
Value 2: 1
Height Offset: 1.0
Visible: Visible
Use Fog of War: false

Post the actual trigger, please? :) (right click the part you want to copy and select 'copy as text', then paste it in your post or your reply to this post)
Most likely you need to scan your trigger for something called 'Any player' and change it to '1' or something similar.
(Number of Living units in (Archon units in (Entire map) owned by player Any Player matching Excluded: Missile, Dead, Hidden, with at most Any Amount)) >= 10
In other words:
Comparison ENTER
Value 1: Number Of Units In Unit Group ENTER
Type: Living ENTER
Unit Group: Units In Region Matching Condition ENTER
Unit Type: Archon ENTER
Region: Entire Map ENTER
Player: Any Player ENTER
Unit Filter: Excluded: Missile, Dead, Hidden ENTER
Count: Any Amount ENTER
Operator: >= ENTER
Value 2: 10 ENTER
Thanks for the solution! :) Is there any way to get all the calldown stuff into one ability, though? Everything you can build is in ONE ability, which would make things a lot easier for me :)
What I like about build is that you click an icon to be able to build a lot of different stuff. I pretty much want the same to happen, but then with the calldown effect instead of build, so something drops out of the sky from anywhere instead of my guy running over there and constructing a marine.
I, however, have no idea of how to accomplish this. Could someone help me? :)
What I want:
1. You click the 'calldown' ability in the lower left corner of the action menu.
2. All icons change into in example 'Calldown SCV', 'Calldown Marine', 'Calldown Missile Turret', etc.
3. When you press one of those buttons, and click the ground anywhere (for missile turrets and other buildings with a grid and it should be pathable etc.) one of those drop pods drops out of the sky, leaves an SCV, Marine or Missile Turret and falls apart.
I already know the basics so you don't have to tell me how to add abilities to units and command cards and stuff like that :)
New problem: Duplicating the 'Calldown MULE' ability gives me several problems. The first time I tried I copied all the effects that don't have precursor in the name.
Result: The marine gets spawned, but once it was spawned another drop pod came falling down the sky. It didn't leave a marine behind and it happened only once per calldown Marine.
2nd try: I duplicated EVERYTHING but the button and the unit.
Result: Ability still costs what I give it as cost, but NOTHING happens. Absolutely 100% nothing.
Fixed by duplication and checking every little detail of every little effect. God the new editor is complicated...
1. Download the beta from anywhere. (it's on thepiratebay.org)
2. Run the game.
3. Once you are in the log in screen, exit the game.
4. Go to the folder of the game.
5. Run StarCraft II Editor.exe
6. You are in the editor!
To play maps:
1. Open the editor.
2. Open the map (ctrl+o, then go to the map file)
3. Press the Ctrl+F9
4. You are currently playing the map you loaded :)
PS. Why da ... didn't it put enters between the lines? :O
As some people know, US maps are bugged for EU people. Ingame stuff like 'Lives: 10' shows up as 'Param/Value/AB1491AAE3' or something like that.
For this, I suggest adding the rule that maps must say where they were made.

8v8 is impossible, limit of 7 ppl per team... 2 finish lines per team seems more interesting to me, though :)
Also, this will be absolutely horrible to make, because duplicating units and stuff is such a pain in the @$$...

This is the menu you get below your actual trigger when you have something selected. :)
