I thought of this, and it is a zergling which uses the ability Morph -> basic unit (or something similar) which I added and tried again, which didn't work. However what is really strange is that I cannot add anything to this building, or any other building. Such as a cancel production button, or since it is a barracks... train marine or train marauder ETC. I will look around though, thanks for the heads up... I wasn't for sure if this was required and what not.
Thank you for the response, however, I am there and I see the command card which I removed all the defaults from... and I click the green button to add a button to the command card and choose the unit I want it to produce... and nothing, it is strange. the button just doesn't show up or anything.
I seriously do not know why, however I can't add buttons to structures anymore. Does anyone know what this is all about? I am trying to train zerglings at a barracks right now. I took out all the buttons and was going to do it by hand... so I tried to add train reaper, train zergling, and even a cancel button and nothing will work. When I click the add button and search for it, find it, then click ok... nothing happens it doesn't add it or anything.
Well, I made it with all triggering units commands with a simple 4 triggers, one for left, right, and top team, then bottom team. It seems like it will work... however the unit I want to test it with (zergling) made from a barracks... just WILL NOT work rofl. Anyone know why this is? I tried to add the morph ability to the barracks and the button just won't be added... I keep trying and it just disappears when I click to add the button for the zergling.

Event: Any unit started training - then the actions set it to 100% completed and just have the barracks not actually spawn anything just pay minerals to train nothing (don't know if you can do this either but I SHALL TRY!) Although I am worried about it... because I have a left and right spawn (two entrances to the enemies base) and of course if I issue them commands to move... both spawns will need to move in different directions.
Also another dilema is that this (as far as I know) I will need to make 2 triggers per unit that I want to spawn... seriously? Is there a way to transfere information from a trigger to a function or something so that I can make the function once so that this will be a lot less work? lol
EDIT: Ahh we posted at the same time rofl... I didn't notice that I could remove triggered unit from game! I could finish it with the trigger and then remove it from the game me thinks... which would fix a lot of this 2 paragraph rant rofl Thanks again!
I like it, sounds interesting... problem would be holding peoples attention, as long as you have some random events and such to keep people immersed in the game and what you are doing while making it fun to replay over and over... you would have a winner!
This might work, however... cosmetically kinda unappealing. Is there a way to like... if unit is training, cancel it and spawn a unit?
and Seph, that wouldn't work for mine unfortunately I will give them a barracks that they will spawn units out of (different kinds) Where each one will cost minerals but increase income type of thing. But thank you for the input.
Exactly as the title states, I need some initial guidance on how to implement a barracks that will spawn 1 unit at 2 regions... lets call them left and right. Then the units will move depending on which team created the units to different parts of the map. I hope that was descriptive enough... I think I could do it if I knew how to link abilities with functions (I think this is how I would do it) but alas have no clue how to do this. Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: I have placed the unit... silly me spent about 2 hours and couldn't figure out how to place a command on the button on the command card for the SCV. However still working on it being built like a BUILDING so taking up squares so you can maze with the units...
Edit: Well I feel like a fool, that was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Back to the drawing board for the rest of my features.
I am making a maul game and this is my first post and question on these forums, so I am trying to fit everyones standards here... so basically correct me if I do something wrong :P
Anyways I modified the marine, took away his movement and everything but didn't modify anything else yet. Changed the button to say Place Marine, and added it to the build command under the SCV. It should take 1 second and cost 5 minerals, however when I test it it doesn't show that it costs 5 minerals and when I click it all it does is reset the menu in the SCV's commands. Oh and I should add that the marine button is like uncolored. It seems to not be active or something.
P.s I am completely new to doing anything with any of the game editors and yet I have Teamviewer and a ventrillo server so... PM me if anyone wants to be my go to person and maybe help each other with new maps ETC.
