Is it still an AoE damage effect only? Try using a search effect instead and apply all filters and area values to that one instead of the damage effect. I think there were some problems using damage effects only. Did you try that yet?
So I'm trying to get the caster of a periodic effect that's in a buff behavior using triggers. The triggering part is no problem, ofc. But it seems like the caster/origin/source unit doesn't get all the way through the effect chain or something. I use the periodic search effect to create an auto-pickup item system without delay that auto-cast abilities have.
I deleted most of the stuff in my map and attached it to this post. Do you know what the problem is? Search for "Pickup" stuff in data and trigger editor. I added debugging triggers already. Use WASD to go to the pickups.
Not really that hard but it will take some time to get to know the data editor. Look up some hero and unit creation tutorials and general triggering info on this page. :)
Well you didn't officially title it "FreeCam." In any case it looks a bit different than this library. I mean I'll rename it if I really have to but it seems like a minor detail, especially with that one being from 2010... let me know if that's okay with you. Definitely didn't even know yours existed... you can check the code yourself.

Listening to lots of music and liking it is a passion. And when adding creativity you get to make music yourself, same for games and game design.
In other words producing music and game design both requires creativity, that's why there's a lot of people like that here.
