You realize you're asking for help with a project, where you don't mention anything about the scope or goals, not to mention you use a system we have no clue whatsoever how works? You should give some more information if you want to recruit people.
What's the highest base you can go in the compression? As far as i know, the game strings are unicode, so you should be able to use all sorts of funky characters.
Alright, since someone messed up the channel, some people can't join #sc2mapster without identifying first, so here's a short introduction to doing so. I assume you're already connected to freenode, and are getting the error message when you try to join #sc2mapster.
You should be in the server window, that is, the window that doesn't have any other users.
Then you type the following: /msg nickserv register [password] [email]
After that you type this: /msg nickserv identify [password]
Then you await the email, it should arrive momentarily, in the email there's instructions to verifying your account.
After those few steps, you should be able to join #sc2mapster. Easy huh? Just remember that whenever you connect to the server, you need to do the following before you can join:
/msg nickserv identify [password]
Just to answer most peoples question, the site most like wc3c.net, would be sc2c.org, since sc2c.org is actually an official sister site to wc3c.net. ;)
"encrypting" a databank would prove very useless, as people could just examine your code, or even simply copy your code into a new map, and make a databank just how they want it to. And even if that's not an issue, relying on again a persons username is a bad way to do things, would be much better with a login dialog.
The reason the player name is a Text and not a String, is because you can't rely on a players name for triggers. It's not that you couldn't find some uses, like debug triggers or special events when the author is in the map, but in the end, that's just bad coding practice. If you want stuff like debugging and special events, you're much better off using other methods, like chat commands or keyboard events.

I agree with zeldarules28, if you don't add multiple lanes, it'll just be a pure rush fight, with no need to think tactics.

Definitly a very sexy and helpful tutorial, really shows what the lobby is capable of, if used properly.

Amazing job. Perfect example of using one thing for something completely different that what it was made for.
Also, sorry for the bump, but the link is on the front page.

NOD32 has always been my first choice AV, it's not free, however it's awesome and very lightweight.
