As for the ragdoll death things, I can do them in data layer, but the actual visual effects also require some modifitations to the death models files themselves.
So I will need startools to create comprehensive demos or tutorials about this. Hope they can release it in the upcoming 1.5 beta phase.
But before that, I can only demonstrate it in some minimal degree. Maybe I can post one tonight (in my timezone (+8) of course) if you have interest in it.

im interested in if you are able to get the ragdoll death actor working? i played with it for abit but im not all that good with actors and failed.
all you can do. is import models and look at how blizzard has them setup and try replicating it.

you make a sc2 particle emitter. you try some settings. you import it to sc2 and see if it works. THATS THE ONLY WAY.
please. enough of this. you're seeking some golden answer thats going to solve all your problems. we dont have it.

i was super excited when i saw they raised the unit selection limit
then was super disappointed when i looked and couldn't find an option to set that myself...
but yea. it's nothing really amazing... that concept picture they released ages back. it basically looks like that

all in all i dont see this improving anything. it's the same bad ideas redone with prettier borders.

Speed Y seems to control the speed at which an animated particle will play through it's frames?
the values are odd however. setting it to 1 will make the animation play 8 times through it's lifetime.
0.25 will play twice. 0.1 seems to be the correct value (probably 0.125 would be more accurate)

dont use pick/for each integer. it creates horrible and inefficient code in galaxy that will eat up your script limit.
easiest way would be
While - Triggering Unit is in Region(P1BuildArea) = True
Add 1 mineral
