    When you open up any file given by Blizzard you can see boxes, red and blue. There are attachment volumes just displayed as box. Right click -> properites -> uncheck DISPLAY AS BOX will show the true shape of it.

    Spoof or parody is actually a part of fair use laws. So basically you could include that kind of content. Didn't WarCraft editor have the same EULA? if you just take any unit from DoTA2 you could find resembling unit in WarCraft3. They had so much laws with that mod :)

    As for that "Wtf blizzard.... seriously... this is the 2nd fucking time you have done this kind of bullshit." part, three's a really good explanation for that.

    That's just a fast way to deny any content that you or Blizzard doesn't have any rights to.

    If it's right or wrong way it's up to you to judge, but Blizzard has shown with the DoTA case that they actually are a company that can be reasoned with.

    Wouldn't it be funny if that would be the case after the official release? ;) I think Blizzard just wants to have it closed for now, then they will make it more open. Otherwise it would be just killing the community.

    Pretty much yes. At least I have this problem and it's on two max's instances so I guess that's not a special case. But let me ask you something: Did you signed to the beta test to test the tools, to see if you can successfully export CUSTOM content? I mean, this is beta test so test it! If not, then just use the models that Blizzard gave you with the installer.

    Besides, that wouldn't fly. Scripts assign different classes, names etc. So the Blizzard's plugin would not find it very usefull. You'd have to have importer working with what Blizzard is providing for it to work. Only geometry, skin and animations would work (and only under condition that you'd specify in the sequences dialog what are the specific ranges).

    @maverck: Go File units are units of a file that you are opening. System units are units that are set up currently in max.

    But to trully set the units in max you have to go to CUSTOMIZE -> UNITS SETUP... -> SYSTEM UNIT SETUP. There you can specify how much say centimeters are equal to one max's unit.

    To all who have installed the M3 maxscripts and Blizzard tools, please remove the M3 scripts. They cause an error when launching max with Blizz's tools. The error is specifically caused by Sc2ribbons.

    Besides that, it's also good to do that because scripted objects and Art Tools' have duplicating classes.

    Well I was thinking about it. Scripts are more max's version independent. So it's rather nice to have them around. Now, maybe it's good to do a full rewrite since we know sooo much about the m3 format than NINtoxicated ever knew when he was working on it. Of course, he did the best job in the universe with that kind of limited knowledge and I drop to my knees before him giving him tons of respect.

    Importer would be nice, I mean, I think that Blizzard doesn't even have one. Why would they? They have all the assets and source .max files right? The importer could work on Blizz's art tools.

    I'd have to write to Blizzard for permission though. The end user license forbids that kind of practice :/

    Hehe yeah, I searched first in the wrong spot and was like "hey! Where are the ribb... oh here they are" ;) And see? You can see the 2 ribbons: one is like the corruptor has and the other is the one that uses sRib structure (Void Ray's ray, Collosus's ray) Great stuff :)
