    This doesn't matter. You can still put a weapon onto a missile! It just needs the usual assortment of supporting assets attached to it.

    Use a weapon with a 180 degree arc instead of a persistent check. It lags less when a lot of missiles are involved (not that effects cause much lag), it's instant, and it'll only hit things infront of you!

    that's not true(at least not for the effects, maybe for actors). if unit A cast a buff on unit B, the caster of the buff will be A, target will be B. if the buff launches an effect on caster the unit A will be affected, if it launches an effect on source the unit B is affected.

    Yeah. Locust Swarm had a target cap for how many locusts could be attacking a single target. It was also completely passive; you had zero control over the locusts. Lastly, the locusts returned to the caster after feeding, to deposit their heal.

    This just isn't a thing with sc2 sadly. There's no way to get wc3 style lobbies. You can lock a player into a slot, but they can always leave and this can happily mess up any player order that you intended. You'll have to learn the new system (using "players on team" to get what team they were in during the lobby), or make your own "lobby" in the game itself.

    A 3rd option is the new lobby attribute system. You can, for example, have 14 attributes and have players only be able to select one. Say you were remaking Azeroth Wars, you could have all 12 factions be lobby attributes, and have players pick which they wish to play as. It's still not as pretty nor as clear as the wc3 lobby however.

    I uploaded a mod file that is just for wc3 music a while ago. It's all properly converted and includes playlists for each race, and a playlist of all songs. It's published under "WC3 Music" and I plan to never alter it, so it's basically set in stone if you want to make use of it.

    Will it include structures?

    Will the units have their spells recreated or is that something we will have to create ourselves? (e.g. Boulder Toss on the Rock Golem)

    Does "unit sounds" include their selection/order sounds? (e.g. Arthas' "BETRAYER OF THE LIGHT!" when you order him to attack).

    Is this a mod file like Left2Die where we must download and apply it ourselves, or a mod file like the standard StarCraft files? (the list with Swarm Multi, etc)

    That's pretty damn amazing. The Heroes models look so good! I was wondering if down the line when we have access to Heroes models, if using them would be prohibitive in terms of how many models we can afford to have onscreen, but if they're on about the same level as a thor then that's good to hear.

    WoW models are pretty graphically expensive and don't look all that good from the top-down perspective that SC2 uses in my opinion. Which makes sense, since they were designed to be viewed in 3rd person.

    There's also something to be said about having the old WC3 models since a lot of them never made it to WoW, like the revenants for instance!

    This is the interview that made me suspicious over whether there will be a Heroes arcade. It's pretty much "I don't have a great answer yet, but it's something we really wanna do". That's very positive but it's not confirmation. I'd love to make Heroes arcade maps so I've been keeping an eye on this.

    When they said "custom games", they mean being able to customise the teams. As in, you and 3 friends playing a 2v2 on Sky Temple would be a "custom game" in their terminology.
