Short Description of the map:
3 Teams - Terran, Zerg, Protoss consisting of 4 (subjected to be changed) players each:
1 base builder
other players control 1 race specific hero each and small forces of the base builder.
The teams fight in a free for all scenario.
The map layout will be much like in a tug of war styled map (DotA, LoL), but for 3 teams.
The base builder plays just like in a melee map: Gathering resources, building an army, etc.
The goal is to destroy a certain main building of the other races. (i. e. Zerg Overmind building)

The content of the map has lots of room for creativity for now. This is only a broad idea (description) of the map.
The key design feature is to make it mostly melee like gameplay with added heroes and objectives. That means the melee units
will not be changed harshly (very slight changes are fine, like adding medics to a barracks).
While the map is a tug of war styled map, the units are not controlled by an AI, but rather by the players. To make the players not sit back and force battles,
areas more forward to enemies (such as expansions for the base builder, towers?, etc.) should be rewarding.
Heroes with leveling, abilities and maybe items.
If you have played the Warcraft 3 campaign, you might remember the mission where you had to bring the mobile prison containing Illidan back to your base. This map will have a few similiarities in design.
The map should not become too complex. (i.e. a lot of items for heroes)
Most things are subjected to be changed. This is a concept of a map that I would like to create and play.

The current project team consists only of me, an avid sc2 player that made Maps back in Wc3 and in Sc2, but only on small scales.
How much time are you willing to invest in this project per week?
