I would like to know if there is any option of changing the behaviour of following example:
If you build alot of buildings close together so there's one hole in the middle left and your unit stands in the middle.
Then you build one more building in the middle and your worker will be ported away.
Any chance to modify that behavior? Because the current one reallly sux in SC2, it also bugs, not porting and so on.
I know two games where this is working and it's Sheep Tag Nomad and Kodo Tag but i can't open the maps cause of protections.
Well, whoever 'shoots first' has more to do with the Damage Point (Lower = less delay before firing, after initiation and being in range), Minimum Scan Range (Range at which an attack may be initiated), Backswing (Delay that occurs after switching targets) and Random Delay (Usually very short) fields in the Weapon's info section, rather than simply being based off of Attack Speed (Period duration).
While i don't personally know how to change Weapon statistics via behaviors (Maybe someone else on here does?), and i doubt you want to make a copy of each weapon in your map that has modified stats for the Gloves of Haste item (You could have the weapons switch out when the item is equipped), you could consider messing around with the Time Scale (Across-the-board speed boost) field and see if combinations of that, plus changes to Regeneration, Move-Speed, Etc. rates would get you want you want.
Yeah exactly. But everything is fine for me now, as i changed the damge point to 0.2f (previously 0.05f). And i checked the attack speed multiplier, it will modify the damage point, so for example if you have an item which increases the attack speed by 50% (1.5 as multiplier) it would decrease the damage point by 50%, which is the exact behavior i want to achieve :D

The thing is, if you carry the item in Warcraft 3, it gives you 15% or 20% attack-speed.
So lets create an example of how the item works:
Two heroes (both are ranged with the same gun), but one has the glove of haste in his inventory.
Now both attack each other, guess who will shoot first? Of course the one with the gloves in his inventory.
Now back to Starcraft II Data Editor
When I set the behavior: "Combat: Attack Speed Multiplier" and test the given example above it will not work.
As far as I see, "Combat: Attack Speed Multiplier" only decreases the duration how long the hero must wait in order to shoot again, which isn't the effect
i want to achieve.
I've tried to add some small range and so on, but isn't there a better way to get the "Warcraft III-ish Glove of haste" effect?
Any help is very much appreciated :)

when I am hosting my map (opening the game to public) I have following problems:
I) When I minimize the Lobby Window to browse other games (while my game is still open) I cannot return
to the lobby. The normal message of the button should be: "Return to lobby" but the button I see is only "Canel".
So I cannot get back to my lobby. When i click on "Cancel" the whole game will be aborted.
II) When a player joins, I can see him in the lobby. But on his screen
he cannot see the lobby window, instead he's looking at the "Game Info" window (Overview, How to play, Patch notes, Reviews).
So there's no way interacting with the player.
I am clueless where I should start looking at. I've taken a scratch map (nothing edited, except the Battle-Net info menu) and
the problem there is the same.
I hope that explanation is enough. Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix that? I mean, i've been working now a few weeks
on my map and noone is able to play it :(

i have got a map which has a few dependencies (War3 Data, etc.)

What might be the problem here?
I don't understand what I could do to solve the issue.
Tried restarting editor, resaving the map, etc but nothing has helped so far.

Hello guys,
i just came back to sc2 development and tried renees warcraft 3 mod.
So far so good. I modified a custom unit (Thrall).
I changed the weapon and the model and a few other minor things.
The weapon has been changed now to the riflemans weapon.
The problem now is, when thrall is shooting i dont hear any weapon sound anymore.
A rifleman has the nice shotgun sound. Thrall doesnt. I think it must have something to do with the
Actor for creating the sound when the weapon effect takes place. But i am lost here.
Does anyone know how i could solve this?
When i change the weapon back to thrall's then i see his weapon+sound, but i want the rifleman's weapon with sound ;P
Any help much appreciated.

Ok I've found a way to fix it. Never thought of such an option.
When you open "Map" and select "Options" on the very bottom where "Arcade-Map" is, you can check or uncheck the possibility to hide the Lobby.
What a freaky option...

I want that effect but i dont get it :DDDDD
The unit is now correctly invisible for the enemy, but the controller does not see any "cloaking" effect anymore.
Maybe i need to add some invisible-animation which will be played when the invisible-buff is applied?

Heya,
i am trying to figure out how to make a unit really invisible. The situation is as following:
I have copied the Wind Walk ability from Warcraft 3, but the thing is, the enemy still can see the invisible unit.
Is there any way to get around that problem?
I've searched in other forums but all they adviced was to completely remove the unit and I can't do that, because the hero is still being controlled.
Any help is much appreciated.
