I'm working on a map and currently hitting a wall on this. I'm using the roach attack on a unit with a different model and having several problems. First, the missile seems to not travel along the z axis at all. It appears at the attacking unit's feet and travels straight towards the target while half in the ground. If anyone knows what I need to change to fix this I'd appreciate it.
Secondly, I'm trying to change the color of the acid saliva model from green to red. I tried the color variable under one of the sections (model, actor or effect, I forget) to no avail. I've even tried using the m3 import with 3ds max. I haven't managed to open any m3 files in 3ds. It says that my files are not valid m3 files. I followed the guide here. So if anyone could help me either recolor the animation in the SC2 editor, or help me figure out why my I'm failing at extracting m3 files properly, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm going to try using some blood model instead of the roach missile model but I think this will be less desirable.
I have to say that programmer's map inspires me. That has to be the coolest thing I've seen all year. It impresses me more than the game itself and the campaign. Just wow...
