WC3 supported (unofficially) up to 16 different tiles on any map. Obviously having 16 tiles now isn't as important anymore as tiles can be blended but you can only go so far with blending the tiles. 8 is still very restrictive in terms of what tiles you can choose. A hybrid terrain that combines more than two climates and looks unique and diverse without visible tile duplication is not possible. Increasing the limit to 12 or even 16 would definitely solve this problem.
Oh, and if I recall correctly, you could change tiles with triggers, thus you could have potentially unlimited tiles. Very sure you can't do that in SC2.
It's not Terrain Texture Sets, it's Terrain Types.
Under the Jungle folder you will find Bel'Shir. Near the top of the data-fields at the right of the data window when you press on Bel'Shir you will see 'Fog Color'. Click on it, then click on the color box. You'll be able to pick a color from there.
Below Fog Color is Fog Density. Increasing the number makes the fog thicker.
To change the height of fog, it's the Fog Starting Height field you are after.
Below is a map that demonstrates fog changes through triggers:
Type in these to change the fog:
fog1 - blue fog pretty much only in the chasm.
fog2 - green fog everywhere.
fog3 - no fog.
Now as far as I can glean from reading around it seems like MLG just
dropped SC2 from one of their tournament cicuits not the whole thing.
Still what MLG is saying is that they no longer find StarCraft 2
profitable enough to keep them in every event.
Is this the end of StarCraft 2? Not by a long shot. But the current
slope of the hill is negative and it's sure got a few of the MVP's
worried.
Thank god for you Fockewulf.
I think this sums up StarCraft II...

Wow... this looks amazing.

So are you always on the same team, or does it happen regardless?

Updated version. The dialog should create alliance checkboxes for every player in the game.
- It only opens/closes for whoever clicks the button.
- To change the limit of allies, change the 'Ally Limit' variable value.

Here, let me know if you have any questions.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to improve it/help you with.

I don't think there is, you would have to make a custom dialog. Which I've made. But it may not work.
At the top left of the screen is a button that will show/hide the alliance dialog.

Hm, I already posted a map on this thread, not sure why it disappeared.
Does this work?

PM me the map, I'll see what's wrong.
Or insert the trigger in the attached map into your map, tell me if it works.

With an MPQ editor you can edit the map as well. I actually use MPQ-editing over the Editor sometimes.

Here. Is this what you had in mind?
When your unit touches the marine it says 'Unit Touched', just so you can test it without being defeated constantly.

Hydra, does this work?

Hm, I don't think we did anything at all, actually.
