I believe in some sort of God. I don't believe in Religion though. I consider myself a man of science. I love watching Discovery Channel and I like reading up on Mr. Hawkins findings and other science-related matters. Yet I still believe in a "God".
@ZealNaga
"Just the fact of believing in someone that doesn't even exist, is naive. Where is this "god" everybody talks about?"
-Hmm, where's the proof that it doesn't? Just sayin'.
"When no one has the same point-of-view abouth faith, it's most likely than none of them is right" and "So many questions, no real answer..."
-Sounds kind of like Science. Alot of assumptions. Alot of THEORIES.
You should read Stephen Hawking's book The Theory of Everything. It covers everything and if you really read what is written, you realize that alot of things in science are assumptions, and obviously there are alot of assumptions in religions aswell.
You say that Believers are naive, but what do you call Scientists that are still pulling random "facts" out of their @$$es and then going "Oops we were wrong"?
I think you might have to create a Model and an Actor for her. Just set your model to Echo then your Actor to the model. You need the Campaign dependencies to find her.
go the the unit tab in the data editor, find your unit that has the 2 weapons, find the Combat - Weapons+ field, double click and delete the unwanted weapon?
first you would need a separate weapon model. The marines rifle is part of his model, it's not an attachment.
Making the medic look good with a custom weapon model would be the hard part, I believe, unless you just give her a pistol in the offhand. And speaking of offhand, I don't know if the Medic has an attachment point there... or any good animations that might seem like she's shooting?? I dunno, I don't pay attention to medics! hehe.
So basically, I should make my loading screen size 2048x1160(like Blizzard), then shrink it down to a 4:3 aspect ratio, create a new image sized at 2048x1160, Copy/Paste the 4:3 aspect ratio picture into the 2048x1160 file(in Photoshop it auto places it centered), then fill in my "border" around the image?
You damn right I know my aliens. I've read every single comic involving Aliens / Predators. I've watched every film. I've played every game. Also have read most books.
Some Lore! Like when the face huggers latch on and impregnate their host with its proboscis, it doesn't just drop an egg or whatever into the chest cavity. It will actually control your breathing & breath for you. It also slightly modifies your DNA to make it able to carry the alien embryo. That's why Humans give "birth" to the Drone type Alien (Black, most common Alien), the "Runner" type (smaller, faster, red-hued skin) when the host is a Dog or other similar sized animal, or the Predalien type if the Host is a Predator. The Predalien is very large, has the dreadlock-type hair and mandibles common to the Yautja/Hish(Predator) species. Regardless of the Host species though, it's always a Chest Burster that pops out(Predator Chest Burster has mandibles) and then the CHest Burster must find some food before it can "molt" and evolve into it's full form. Sometimes certain drones evolve slightly into a Praetorian. During this stage of its evolution it must basically run from all aliens or be killed. Pheremones during the evolution mark it as an intruder. Once it is fully evolved, it grows a small crown, loses its capabilities to Leap and Cling to walls, but becomes larger and more heavily "armored". It will return to the hive to "assert" itself. Any Drone can become a Queen if there is no Queen(1 queen per Hive). Queens are the Largest of the Aliens and have a HUGE crown, they are the ones that lay the eggs that hatch the Face Huggers. The Eggs/Facehuggers can sense when someone is nearby and 'spring open' for a quick and simple leap to the face.
Other Aliens will not kill a Host because they can sense the Embryo inside of it.
Aliens can survive in Space, survive extreme colds and high heat tempatures(but cannot survive falling into molten metal), have Acid Blood, can sense their prey because of pheremones, are highly adaptable and even display intelligence. They can work together to solve problems, can cling to walls and ceilings, leap long distances, they have a long prehensile tail with a sharp spear-like tip that can cut through metal, they are extremely strong, instead of a tongue they have a second jaw that can extend outside of its mouth, it hits like a jackhammer and can bike through the skull, this is called a headbite.
So ya anyways... I really recommend watching at least Alien and Aliens. Predator aswell. And if you really like them watch Alien 3, Alien: Resurrection(4th Alien Movie), Predator 2, Alien VS Predator, and Alien VS Predator 2: Requiem.
And there's always more little tidbits of information, too :P
PS:: Sorry for thread Hi-jack! Let the custom assets continue :P
Well quite simply, Face Huggers DIE after implanting Alien DNA into the host. The Host doesn't die... right away. A Chest Burster gestates in the chest cavity of the host until it is ready to burst out, at which point the host dies.
You know, just like the Alien movies featuring Sigourney Weaver
Are you saying it doesn't add the crid dmg to the regular damage? So, ignoring next damage would just ignore the "regular" damage but not the crit damage if that next hit became a critical?
for the Automaton, scroll down the unit screen and find UI - Fidget +. When you double click on it the little window pops up, be sure to be in the (None) tab or whatever. You will notice 2 options, Distance Minimum and Distance Maximum. Change both of those to 0.
I remember that Half-Life 2 mod where one player spawned the zombies and the others tried to survive. If I remember correctly, the Spawner/GM started with so much "Energy" or whatever, and could use that energy to spawn Zombies of various kinds. Stronger zombies cost more, weaker ones cost less. The GM would gain more energy like, X per second, and would gain a solid number if his zombies killed a player. I believe he got to control the zombies aswell.
The Non-Zombie players had to make it to the end of the map and survive and escape, basically.
You should definitely allow the GM to control his zombies.
Basic Map layouts had traps, explodable barrels, gas cans, fortified doors that could be broken down by zombies...
Hmm, i'm sure there's more, but it's been so long since I played it!

Good stuff! This could be really useful for an Aliens map or something. Just have to tweak a thing or 2 and it would be awesome ;)
News worthy? It's pretty badass!
