Time for a new tutorial! this time I've finally cracked fully emulating WC3 Abilities with leveling them independently and having level requirements for levels of abilities! Hope this helps!
"This Video Tutorial shows you how to make a Emulated copy of the WC3 hero ability system in SC2.
Shoutouts:
Shixax from the mapster IRC (I call him Six Axis because i cant pronounce his name)
Husky and his Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/HuskyStarcraft
i hope the full editor introduces some easier way to create tiered abilities/stats/everything, like a duplicate operation that also increments select values
I never messed with multiple abilities but i was told this last night on IRC:
[03:28] <Zaratulius> So first problem is when u add more than one ability to your learn ability u have to give them default buttor if u wont when u spend u skill points all skills will get lvl up
Uhm I came here cuz I was trying to create odd leveled requirements but when I was testing it out instead of using extra behaviors for the levels I just did
"Not Equal To -> CountBehavior (Veterancy Behavior) Completed at unit constant 1"
Worked fantastic for me
Thanks for the whole comparison clear up tho, I was getting tangled in the mess :P thank you :D
Excellent tutorial
But, is there another way to create this Oddlevel Requirement so we don't need to create an specific requeriment for every single spell in the game? O_o
Can you post this in text form? I am on an overseas, limited bandwidth connection until my deployment is over. I can't load the videos... I know is alot to ask, but it would be really helpful if you turned this into a text tutorial as well.
