Hello everyone.
I was a long time lurker here, and I decided to join. :)
I'm not sure if this is the right section, but my question is simple:
I need to somehow highlight a simple dialog button when you click it.
I already tried creating an image behind the button, but I couldn't find anything that looks like a highlighted button.
Any suggestions?
You can change the image and the mouse hover image of a button.
With some picture editing skills, you can copy paste the look of the hovered, over-pressed button image twice into a copied button image and use that.
If you extract the pictures and compare them to a button ingame, you should understand which area of each image is used when.
I don't think I have such skills. :(
But I was searching some images in the editor, and found this highlighted button(attached). Is there a way to use it?
The easiest way to do this is simply to change the color of the button dialog item. I generally play around with different colors until I find one that suits my needs.
Either use an image swap (change image of dialog item when clicked) or as Khal said, change the tint value of the image.
I use image swaps but that is because I do my own art and I started before they included tinting (which can sometime not create the result you are after).
