If we were to create a 3rd party program that helps backup a player's bank in our game NOTD and also loads theirs stats into our website server for our global leaderboard, is that ok? The program would also help someone create their bank if their login on our 3rd party program is validated - this would be helpful for HD crashes, or if they are playing in a remote location. Our community members would download this 3rd party program from our website and it would sit passive/actively in their taskbar.
Is something like this okay in Blizzards' eyes? I understand roughly that as long as a 3rd party tool doesn't alter the way the game is played, it should be okay. But good to confirm. Thanks.
I believe this is what SOTIS's GLOOP program does, and as far as I know that's still allowed. It's something I've had plans to do for quite some time and I highly doubt Blizzard will mind.

It's outside of Blizzard's scope. Simple file sharing, nothing more
Ya I made a program that syncs a bank up with a web server, does nothing more then read the file in real time.
