The Man and his hound stood aside each other as the watched a rescue ship fly their way only in hope that it will find them and take them from the lost colony to a space station colony orbiting the Decimated planet...and the planet, well that's a whole different story.
edited with Photoshop..
and i tried really hard to fit that planet in the sky and make it look good haha best i could do
Hey! I like how you have added the planet in the background. This gives me ideas for my future terrain maps. Overall, it is a nice picture, but this could be done without photoshop. ( I mean in the editor)
Interesting. You put down a really good scene that'd look really interesting in a cinematic. Lens flare is a nice touch too. I do dislike the dark concrete bit though - it might just be my experiences as a gamer, but whenever I stop consciously looking at it I see a chatbar.
Overall a good job with minimalistic doodad use. That said, you might be able to spice it up some more. Maybe you could put another broken something in the foreground to insinuate the cameraman is looking just over it. And you could do something with the hill on the left (maybe simply some rubble).
Thanks for the tips guys! i think i might know how to add a planet without Photoshop... there's M3 planet files somewhere i'll have to search for
although i forgot to save the map and put my computer in sleep mode and turned in back on and the editor crashed x.x grrr
oh and BTW heres a planet view...theres also planet icons which i can use for the planets in the sky
i basically hid all the terrain cells and edited a doodads model changed and size and BAM there ya go

I think the photoshopped part is the sun glare, but yea, you can probably put a planet in without photoshop.
