Those little mossy 3d animated clumps of grass that appear in the campaign frequently. I searched everywhere in the editor and I feel really dumb asking this, but where are they? What's their doodad name?
I did open that map in the editor, and I found that part of the map. Problem is I can't click it. It's not a doodad, not a unit, and not a texture. I don't know what it is but I know that I must have it for my map. For ART!
I found it under the foliage tool like you said, but I think i'm better off turning it into a doodad. The 'generate foliage' tool fills the map and I'm afraid that it will cause loss of fps.
Do you have any tips on how to isolate and create that one foliage (the grassy kind) into a doodad?
No offense, but you're better off learning how foliage works :P
Like terrain textures, it is painted onto the terrain through the foliage palette. The issue is that by default, it is painted across the entire map - Blizzard seriously likes their foliage, there's shitloads of it in most of the campaign maps. What you want to do is use the 'disallow foliage' brush to remove it from the entire map, then use the 'allow foliage' brush to paint it where you want to have it, and *then* use the 'generate foliage option'. Basically treat it like a regular terrain texture and you'll be fine.

Ty.
I believe those are "foliage". Different textures have different foliage plants (for example concrete does not grow foliage)
EDIT: You can open campaign maps in editor and check is it doodad.

It's foliage. You could make a doodad out of it, or just use that tileset and the foliage tool.
