Decided to start posting status on my current project Planet Side
Planet Side will be a new style RTS that allows you to command up to a total of 12 units in a battle field of up to 6vs6 attempting to complete objectives from taking control points to last man standing among other ideas to come
Status
(95%) - Terrain
(80%) - UI
(90%) - Units
(5%) - Equipment
(50%) - Game System
General Leveling
As your unis level Up you will be granted a small amount of experience according to the division the unit is classified under.
-Infantry
-Mobile
-Aviation
-Zerg
As you gain levels in your divisions you will be allowed to purchase more advanced units from that division as well as you will gain attribute points which can be spent on stats to affect unit equipment and general flow of play
Player Attributes
Clout - Allows the purchase of new units as well as have a higher unit level letting them upgrade to better units and allow zerg units to evolve
Tactics - Allows you to control more units at once during a battle, you start out being only allowed to send in 6 units at a time, with a maximum of up to 12.
Research - Allows new upgrades for your units and provide more advanced equipment for your units, as well as higher levels provide unique abilities that your units may have that others do not.
Engineering - Allows you to equip larger and heavier items on your units with less drawbacks. such as movement speed loss, experience penalty and general unit capabilities.
Menus
The Custom UI will allow all management of your units from buying and selling, to unit equipment and evolution.
I am open to any ideas or suggestions and will be posting screen shots and more information as i can.
Uploaded a UI Video, its still a work in progress but im hoping to have the Unit setup done here in the next week
