So i've finally decided to return to mapping and i knew i had to do something big so here it is... the first look at what im working on.
"Iconic Bosses" is the ultimate co-op experience! Up to 4 players pick one of 6 classes and go off to defeat the most famous characters in the Starcraft universe. While at the same time fighting alongside that characters nemesis!
This video shows/explains some basics of what you can expect and how the REAL COMBO SYSTEM works.
NOTE - Be sure to stick around for the epic ending!

This video demonstrates the 4 player capabilities, unique boss mechanics, the revive system aswell as the Zeratul VS Kerrigan encounter (Still in Developement)
Interior looks quite nice, a good sense of space. Unfortunately the character kind of blocks a lot of the view. You should increase the camera's height, or otherwise move him to the bottom or edge of the screen. The main idea being to move him out of the focus of the camera.

I'll mess around with it some more. I should have a video demonstrating complete 4 player online play and the mechanics of the Zeratul fight.
Interesting. It offers an interesting look into the lore of the SC universe, but I wonder about its long-term replayability (not that this should be a major concern...ZHRPG got played to death and now it hovers on page 4).
Is that model you used for the portals just the Archon birth animation?
Sounds like alot of custom triggers running, that with horribly laggy WASD on b.net kinda makes this a dream only map :(
Thats why i made it only 4 players. The more triggers you have running the lower your player count should be lol. I understand peoples concerns for WASD lag on bnet but i cannot stress this enough that it is completely playable (Atleast on my maps). Yes its there but its not like a 1-2 second delay, its about a 0.5 second delay. I could understand if this was a PvP map where 0.5 seconds does impact gameplay but its strictly co-op so it'll be ok :).

Well considering i hope to fit about 6 encounters into the map with 6 classes i dont think anyone will be getting 100% out of this map for awhile lol. Bosses will be extremely difficult and since there is a system that allows you to revive fallen players simply by walking up to them.... expect bosses to have abilities that WILL one shot you =)

WASD has about 0.5 seconds or less delay. Mouse Click have atleast half that for some reason? I kept the player count pretty low so lag wont be game breaking.
Depends on how easy it is for me to get enough testers when i need to test and how many problems i get when building the boss encounters. Everything else is smooth as eggs.
As long as lag is not too bad, this looks great. Keep up the good work. Mind explaining how you keep the lag low? What system did you use for WASD? And how does this work- players pick a class and move through a series of boss fights? Btw- the map is amazing, polished, and good looking in the video. Great Work. :D

I actually just put in a new system a few days ago. I'm sure its nothing new but i used Booleans whenever you click or press one of the WASD keys and a while loop to check if the booleans are true and which ones. Runs even better then it did before =)

Funny thing is thats what i was playing while i was taking a break from mapping. :)

Wow, great Ö Have a question.. how do you get (or made) a lag-free WASD system? Thanks.
Cool idea, but is it viable for multi player?
