From the creator of Doodad Hunt i bring you footage of my latest map, Battlefield Egypt!
Battlefield Egypt is a class based third person multiplayer shooter (NOT AFFECTED BY LAG, SEE VIDEO FOR PROOF) set in an Egyptian environment full of statues, rubble, and even an Ancient Pyramid (That can be entered/fought in). It is currently in CLOSED BETA but all you have to do is send me a PM @Bounty.820 and ask if we have any room, just like the Doodad Hunt closed beta.
There are 6 classes each with their own playstyle and 2 unique abilities. The game supports up to 8 players, killing sprees (Killingspree Rewards WILL be added), in game leaderboard and a 30 cap kill count for victory.
So without further delay i present to you the AMAZING footage of an actual 8 player match shot ON BATTLENET.
Looks great, though gameplay seems to be far too chaotic. It's probably because the terrain is so wide open and even the bits you can use for cover are only effectively a line of sight blocker. The map could really benefit from some more tight quarters terrain.
I'm quite curious to learn how you managed to get movement to be so lag free! You better post a tutorial on how to do it at some point! Otherwise, can't wait to go and play it when I get the chance.
That's not my point Bounty. Even with the seemingly arbitrarily placed doodads throughout your map, they provide very minimal cover. When I say your map could benefit from being less wide open, I mean adding in more hallways, buildings to hide behind (or hide in), etc. I don't know if your system allows for shooting up and down, but catwalks and rooftops would be excellent terrain additions as well. There are numerous maps over a http://www.TF2maps.net which you could get ideas from. As your map stands right now, it's too easy for you to be hit by 3 or more people at once. And where that's good in a twitchy game like Unreal Tournament, SC2 is inherently slower, thus players will have a harder time reacting to multiple opponents in a wide open space.

Well sadly my system does not allowed for 3D shooting, which is one of the reasons it work so well i think. Trust me i really would have preferred to do a map like you describe but i went with this because it is more fun. I understand it appears to be to chaotic but i can tell you it is not as chaotic as it seems. People have come close to getting 9+ kills without dieng and staying aware of whats around them. Well anyways hopefully you send me a message or something sometime so you can see for yourself how the map plays but i totally understand where you coming from.

See the Collision and Cover video, every thing you can hide behind HAS collision and projectiles will not go through them
