Just a quick question then also. Does this mean it is impossible to rip any of the troll models from WoW, including the one who are enemies at dungeons, etc.? I'm just asking because I see the human models in the OP.
If it is possible, but you simply didn't want to do it, I could download WoW, rip them and upload them as assets.
If it is impossible, I guess I'll just use murlocs.

It is not -impossible- but it's a hassle :b, and the human models in the OP are not based on the playable customizable human model, the troll models you are reffering to are
Actually, how annoying would it be if I wanted to do it myself? Murlocs could work, but trolls would be preferable. And if I do it, I'm sure there are some other people who will benefit.
I think I'm only planning two, but that's interesting. Maybe I'll do Murloc v. another tribe, with asymmetric abilities/classes. Might expand to three.
I can't download the models anymore. They take me to the list of code or whatever. When I right click and do save as it shows the save file as a text document. Any idea why they won't work anymore?

Worked for me just now if you right click and "save link as"
That's so odd. Last night it was saving as a text file but now it's saving as a rar. Oh well as long as it works.
EDIT: Can you export NPCs? I try but they never load. A lot of models are like this for me where they're colored blue and won't load. I don't know why.
Sad, but you can't export NPC-s, if you want to make a similar one of them, then go to the characters, chose the race/gender, make him look like as the npc looks like, export him. note: some of the attachment in him wont exported for example shoulder plates, hat, weapons here is a tutorial about it:wow characters to sc2. For example if you want Putress, you need an undead male character in a warlock T8 set
WoW dished out the extra time to make models specific to those npcs. Now, if you look at the fist WoW, before expansions, I recall very few of the npcs had special models. This, of course, changed as their signifigance changes. Thrall, for example, is going on his 3rd model, maybe 4th. There was the original model. Then the cata model, now the firelands model (which just has new animations). As WoW moved more into cinematics, with Cata especially, the need for models with cinematic specific animations increased, and thus, new models.
Additionally, firelands is evidence that WoW felt that more time was needed on raid content. Their statement pointed out, specifically, that they were aware of complaints of reused and retinted mobs, such as fireelementals, serving as bosses. Firelands contains all these new models in response.
And I must say, they look pretty darn nice, even without the animated textures!

Thanks a lot!
How hard is it to make them unable to leave the water, but make them attack stuff in the water?

You need to import the model into 3dsmax and fix a lot of stuff about it, then export it to SC2.

Murloc Tribes it is!
You should have Naga too, and maybe some Kobolds, Sporlings, and Gnolls.

You mean as opposing tribes?

What makes certain NPCs special? Like Jaina, Arthas, Thrall, Garrosh, etc.
Is it because they look unique?
@Keyeszx
