I'm just brain storming a map, the general theme is post apocalyptic earth where survivors have to salvage deserted towns for goods. Anyway, this is the idea so far.
4v4 across a huge desert (mar sara, maybe) with scattered towns/parts of ruined cities
its basically going to two towns fighting over these resources for survival. One player per team will be a mayor type role where he'll build up a small town (sim city style) he will be able to route money to his 3 main generals which will start out with a few units which will go out and gather resources for the mayor. because of the slow start there will be random mutant spawns all over the map and they'll stumble towards the base and the mayors have to repel them. After some time the mayor will be able to set up forward villages at the ruins to gather resources (bonus +20 income or something) the generals make little raids on the opponents towns and villages and junk.
So far I'm just messing around with the ideas in my head, Suggestions and help are more than welcome. I don't really wanna do any of the datamanaging, i can do some triggers but nothing special so if someone wants to work on a map with me on the weekends this could be a neat project :)
I'll post screenies as I get more done on this terrain wise
