depending on how complex the map might be, a year is too short. would need some full time guys to make it.
It could easily be done in about a month or two with full-time work/dedication. The only problem is that is quite expensive and I don't know if he is willing to shed that kind of money out for this.

over 70 heroes in a month? in sc2? with balance? no huge bugs? i doubt that.
you also have to know the original map in order to know exactly how it works and even more important feels like.
Depends on the structure. I would say it would involve some time understanding the code, as usual, but it is possible to extract out and template much of it.
Piece of cake, well, piece of "full-time dedication" cake at least. I am talking 8-12 hours a day for 1-2 months straight and I can guarantee you that the game would be done or at least 90% finished.

Saw this post on reddit. He would like someone to remake a WC3 map for a dying friend. Just thought I'd post it here in case anyone was interested.

I would definitely undertake this if it wasn't for the fact that I would need some sort of funding to do so, and I don't wanna be that guy.
I think OP wrote at the end of his thread he's willing to offer money as a reward, but how much I dunno. It'd have to be between you two.
