The instant I saw this, a sentence formed in my mind "some sort of escape map". And that's the only thing that I can think of. Digging yourself away from danger, creating maze-like patterns to hold down enemies and use environments to delay death which is chasing you. Some sort of 15min funmap. Would potentially need undiggable areas, resource(benefit) areas, lava rivers(for awesome) and other puzzle-like environment elements. Collapsible rocks, trapfloors, bridges, quicksand are the words that come to mind.
Honestly, I got no idea what you could do with digger-scv. Up to you to figure this one out.
Whaaaaaat so much potential here mate. As long as you are creator the posibilities are endless.
Well I would probly want a scv defence map. One of the problem would be less entries to middle would be the optimal build so creeps would have minimum ways of attacking you. I could make the enemies make their own paths too.
Another idea would be somekinf of empire builder. Attack other players, build your own base. First to gather x amount of something wins (kinda vague idea).
Also im thinking about how to gather resources for building. Digging paths would give you stone...some buildings would dig paths themselves to gain coal or something?
Since you cannot really change the textures I could put resources (mineral patches) around the map. So you might want to take specific direction. Like in mineralz....
Well I hope it doesnt turn out to mineralz v3. I want to create something new. And again Im just brainstorming myself here....

Think what you can do with map without including building element. I keep thinking that adventure/puzzle like game would be most interesting, but, unfortunately I suck at playing puzzle games (and thus I suck even more at making them D:)
humm? why wouldnt there be a building element. I was planning to make the building element for sure (dont you see how those 2 suply depots beautifully block the path). Also shoulod be possible to make 1-x supply depot wide paths.
It also should be possible to "reverse" the digging. So perhaps you would instead build walls rather than digging or both of them.
I just think this would be like awesome defence map, but Im still a bit afraid It would be too much like mineralz. Whatever I play I tend to take out the good ideas of other maps (wheter they work on my map or not)
But I keep on thinking of ideas before rushing further.

Had to do this myself even though I tried looking for help lol. Still a few bugs that Ill have to look into.
edit* and yea I could use this digging function with the random terrain function if I so desire. Will have to see what I come up with.
