PeepMode is a melee spectator system that builds on features of the popular 1v1 Obs - Xel'Naga and iCJug maps. Players compete in 1v1, 2v2, and FFA matches (KOTH style) while everyone else watches, bets, discusses, etc.
FEAUTRES
14 players
1v1, 2v2, FFA
King of the Hill (KOTH) style match selection (crowns designate winners)
Global rating system (carries across all PeepMode maps)
Would be nice if you included a small description of the map in your post, so people don't have to watch the video and read youtube's description to get an idea.
Also - Is it EU/US and already released?
PS: Bastards from SME blocked the video for German viewers.
You're using Music that SME (Sony Music Entertainment) hasn't allowed for German viewers (other countries aswell).
I don't exactly know what is going on, but they're blocking a ton of videos because of that.
So it's not your fault, it's the damn ultra capitalists.
I am actively developing the mod and will continue to do so for several months. During that time, its status will remain "closed". However, I may release it as "open source" in the future. For now I'd prefer to incorporate user feedback and try to create consistency across servers, etc. If you have any specific requests for maps, please let me know.
What I dislike with these kind of custom maps, is that we cannot choose the ''map'' we are going to play while in game :O
Well I'm not clear...
I dunno if it would be possible to load a different map (terrain) while we are in-game without having to leave and create another game. A kind of map storing every terrain...
Unfortunately, it's not possible to contain multiple terrains since maps are limited to 256x256. Recent interviews with Blizzard confirms this is not going to change any time soon.
hey i love the map however is buggy, most of the time it will end in a draw, and the player's name will stay on the map while others are playing.
-If the same player is selected the game will end in a draw again and it will loop.
-If you zoom out, you can no longer hear sound until you zoom back in.
-sometime the game lags for some players whos observers have zoomed out.
-A suggestion use the MLG or GSL versions, to prevent spawn positions close by ground. Close by ground is very imbalance, and MLG and GSL version are prefered by most players, since you can only spawn close by air and cross, with the depot at the bottom of the ramp to allow scouting
- I don't know what you mean by "player's name will stay on the map". Can you clarify? Perhaps their text tag over the avatar's head doesn't disappear when a match starts?? I have seen this before but thought I fixed it...
- Are you sure that a match player isn't exiting the game during the Match Loading (VS) screen? That will, of course, cause a draw immediately upon match start.
- When you zoom out you get farther away from the action and the sound is basically too far away to hear. This is an aspect of the SC2 engine that I probably cannot change and actually wouldn't feel comfortable changing even if I could.
- There is a voting option to turn off camera zooming in the Options menu if lag occurs.
- It can be difficult to get my hands on GSL maps...I have not yet contacted all authors and wouldn't publish maps without author's permission. Currently only Bel'Shir Beach is available (July 2011 version thanks to LSPrime).
- Please PM me so we can line up a time for me to check out these issues first-hand. Thanks! :)

the player's'Text ( which is the one on top of the avatar still stays during the game)
-players did not exit the game they get selected and when the game finally starts it says i forget the exact sentence but it says match has ended in a draw for reason X, i gotta check again.
- i did not see the voting option for the camera zoom, i'll check next time.
-the only difference in MLG version is "opponents can not spawn close by ground" and the depot at the bottom of the ramp, i'm sure that isn't too hard for you.
My buddies and I played some PeepMode yesterday and I think I may have found a glitch. I wanted to check the replay to be sure but it didn't save one unfortunately.
Anyways, I think that after playing a few games it doesn't always reset your upgrades. I noticed that when I built an evolution chamber as Zerg in one of my games that I already had armor 1 researched. Another issue, is when using the observer ui it doesn't always show what the drop down says it should. For instance...when I check income it might show harvesters. Resources might show units. It's kind of odd.

Good call. I added a brief description below the video.
It's currently released only in North America. Plans to rollout worldwide are in the works, but probably not for a few weeks.
Sorry...I'm not sure what you mean by SME (?) blocking the video...

Sony sucks.
UPDATE: The Blizzard Observer UI now correctly shows only the players of the current match; other minor UI enhancements.
is there a mod file that anyone could add to their maps?
@IcculusLizard: Go
I usually hate noobs who pick a original map, edit it a bit and go like 'check this I rock man !'.
But for once, finally someone did a good job on it and hopefully the other 14 year olds will stop making junk on them now.
Hopefully it gets picked up decently :)

Thanks for the compliments. I'd like these maps to get more popular as well.
UPDATE: Thanks to LSPrime, PeepMode is now available on NA servers on GSL Bel'Shir Beach....and it's the July 2011 edition! Enjoy!

You are pushing ICJug to a whole new level!

If you succed in this, that would be EPIC.

Yes i had the same problem the other day the +1 armor ( zerg) remained when i played the next round.

Thanks for this bug report! The issue is now fixed...sorry for the delay.
