Yeah it depends... do you already own a CoD game? if yes, then I suggest that you dont get it.... If no then wait for it to drop to 30$ CoD is a shit series... that only sales due to popularity.
I suggest steering clear of this game too. It's kind of a BF3 vs MW3 thing. Neither are really that great it's just one gets the more vocal people to say their game rocks and the other sucks.
I wouldn't suggest any game because it's up to your tastes but I found ARMA 2 to be fun, engaging, and realistic. For what it's worth.
I am largely inactive, but I am still around. Feel free to poke me if you need some help, just be warned that I only really come back if I need help and/or if I'm posting a new map/library.
hey now Halo 4 has made some vast improvements over its Predecessor, And its not the type where theres a new one out every 6 months...
Dont lie to the man, Its nothing like BF vs CoD, CoD has Declined in quality the past 3 games. Thats a fact.
Halo has continued to improve, they only have a sequel once every couple of years, so they actually put time and effort into their games.
Next your going to say all the killzones are the same...
And Arma 2 is very crappy, I am sorry but Computer FPS are not better then console... They dont ever feel quite as good, The ONLY one that I ever played that felt close was Day of Defeat Source and Counter Strike Source.
I played arma, it feels bad... Like BF3 and CoD MW2 does on the computer. They dont have a good feel to them, Hence why halo isnt on the computers because after 2 games they saw that it doesnt feel right.

Wow, noob alert.
Do you like slowly pointing a joy stick towards your target? Do you like moving your body instead of adjusting your aim because it's easier for very slight aiming adjustments? Do you like needing auto aim correction to help you?
The only reason why some of the great FPS games are on console is because that is the dominant market for sales. If those games were built for PC (and not a trashy port) it would blow your socks off. The Half-Life series of games were some of the last to be built with PC design in mind, and that's why they're so great on PC. All games now have to be considered for both console and PC to make up for the high cost of development.
Also, there's a reason why they don't let console gamers compete with PC gamers in FPS games. The console players would get stomped into the floor.
Call of duty is absolutely awesome if you want a very casual military run-and-gun shooter. If that's what you're looking for, it's probably the best out there. From what I've heard, Black ops 2 is the best CoD in a while, but it's still very much CoD.
A lot of people will tell you CoD is horrible, but it's not- It is just very casual, with a low skill ceiling and not much strategy required. That doesn't mean it's not fun- if that's your type of game, go for it.
Personally, I would rather get halo over CoD. But I won't be getting either- FPS isn't really my thing :P

CoD also has that nagging tendency to piss you off.., :P thats why I stopped played them honestly. The games are as you say good, but they are all the same. just new perks, 1 or 2 weapons and maps. Graphics dont change much either.
Ok, look, personally I like Battlefield but BF3 isn't that good, then I'd rather pick up a cheap copy of Bad Company 2, which is one of the greatest FPS games to date.
As for Black Ops 2, well, I haven't played it myself, but it looks quite refined (a lot of the bugs and nuisances from BO1 are gone as well as some general improvement). I guess it's a fun, casual game to just mindlessly kill people, several game modes as well as the party modes (which are wonky, fun modifications, like Gun Game that originated from CS (I believe?)). Oh, and let's not forget the zombie mod either.
As for quality; Meh. they are using the same engine they used in MW1/WAW - but sligthly enhanced - or whatever, so graphically it's not that impressive, same with game sounds and effects (someone even did some research and found out they've been reusing a lot of models from the older games.)
Then again, I haven't played it myself (or BO either for that part) but it looks like an ok 'by-the-side' game to just jump in and kill shit, but I wouldn't buy it at full price.
should i get it?
It depends.

Then there's the fact they said they'd stop making games. but then again if better then CoD disregard flaws.
I personally liked MW3, but then that makes me a commie.
I wouldn't know about either of those things.

I hated MW3 :P IT was EXACTLY like MW2, with no improvements, and slightly worse graphics. The menu was pretty much the exact same too...
That game pissed me off, it was like MW2 was Madden 2009 and MW3 was Madden 2008
Thats what CoD has become the Madden of FPS.
