Hi, I have a really weird problem. The races I set in Player Properties work when I test my map with the "Test Document". So far so good,
but when I play the same map on battle.net, I ALWAYS start as Zerg.
I have googled around but couldn't really find any help..
In the Game Variants menu, I've set people's race to Terran, they still start as Zerg.
The only time I've managed to get them to spawn as any other race, is if I pick random. There is a "remove values" in the game variants menu, but it doesn't seem to follow them when I click them.
Would be quite nice if someone could help me with this, because at the moment I got SCVs doing drone sounds and the queen telling me to build more overlords.
Screenshot:
As you can see in the pic, I have a Protoss is set to do a baneling build order..
Also, is there a way of hiding the build order button too?
I'm not sure about the build order button (I've been trying to figure that one out myself as well). As for the races, have you tried setting all the races in the Player Properties to (Any), and then setting the Game Variants race Value for each player to "Terran" while removing Zerg, Protoss, and Random as options?

Bumpelibump. Anyone managed to get a player to spawn as another race than Zerg?

Administrator of Staredit.net and GalaxyWiki.net
Bug in SC2.
To fix it for online use:
1. Set races in player properties to Any
2. Define the forced race in game variants, if forced race is desired.
Test document will use a random race, but a published file will use the correct race.
