Smashcraft is becoming quite popular on US and EU battlenet communities. If you haven't heard of Smashcraft, it is a 3v3 arena deathmatch game based loosely on World of Warcraft's arena, but more similar to MOBA games like Bloodline Champions or DOTA, just without the items or creep farming.
The game has been live for about a month now and shows no signs of slowing down in popularity. Currently on page 2 of the custom map list on EU, and nearing page 2 on US after being on page 1 permanently during the old version of BNet (the new popularity system is screwing me because its hours played instead of games now). With regular tournaments happening on both servers on a weekly basis, this game is due to explode into the competitive custom map scene fairly soon!
So now I'm looking to revamp the one thing I'm horribly weak at in terms of design, terrain. I need a pro terrainer who can be pretty dedicated to the project, however I don't ask much. Designing terrain for Smashcraft would only require just that, terraining, and the willingness to contribute new arenas to the project on a semi-frequent basis (maps may be rotated out or in on occasion). Preferrably I'd like to make room for up to 9 arenas within a single map, which means size and consistency is a must.
I'm looking for only TOP QUALITY terrainers for this project. I am extremely detail oriented and don't settle for second-rate work. At the same time I want you to have fun on the project, this isn't a job :P.
Please post here if you're interested in designing terrain for the game, as soon I'll be revamping the current map rotation. An ideal candidate for the project would be someone who:
Has a strong eye for layout and balance. Arenas need to be -mostly- symmetrical, in that objects which block attacks are fairly even and spread out on both sides. I don't need perfect symmetry or 100% balance on the map, but there needs to be at least a symmetrical layout overall.
Can develop creative and aesthetically pleasing map designs but also squeeze in terrain "quirks" so that players can do creative things with their hero abilities and use map layout to formulate strategic points of interest and "zone". This would require a little bit of an eye for not only design, but game concept. I can go over this in more detail later.
Someone who can produce maps fairly quickly, I'm not asking for 9 arena maps all in a few hours, but I don't want to wait 2 weeks for 1 arena to be finished.
Map design must be optimized to run SMOOTHLY on even low end computers. Perfection not necessary, but I'm finding I'm not really solid on
making my maps run smoothly.

If you are still interested in this project, please PM or leave a message here with a sample, or a few samples of some of your terraining. Thanks :D
I would really like to help you out with this, would be a nice challenge beside my modelling in 3ds max.
I think tomorrow I will give it a try and then we will see what's coming out :)
There are tangible maps just sitting around waiting for your purpose that you should try to get ahold of. Be great to see them go to some use. Just send the map makers in the thread a PM. If I see rrowland around (saw him on bnet a few days ago) i'll see if he has them as well.
Sorry but something unforseen happened which I cannot tell here, but it is motivating me working on my models and project harder than before so I'm sorry there is no time fto create arenas for smashcraft, but I'm sure you can find someone :)

There were some great maps made in a challenge for Wired for Blood before it fell apart, you can check them out here:
