From my experience with regulating a forum, there's a decent amount of people that don't really care.
@ MasterPride (Assuming Whaletits): There are a few problems that I can easily point out regarding administrative issues, as well as certain members from the community, but it would just stir the pot even further, so I ask those that are attempting to achieve that to stop immediately. I hope this thread doesn't result to a lockdown due to a few members.
I'm just making it known to any potential applicants the history you and your brother have with your community and the people who have given up years of their lives to help you. It's a warning so people don't make the same mistake. It isn't stirring the pot, its proper communication, instead of the censorship and total control you have started to attempt on your own forums.

Be that as it may, this only goes so far. 'Warning' people of a certain team in that team's recruitment post or otherwise sharing negative associations with the team's members is just as valid as sharing positive feelings, but there's a point where it gets out of hand and simply turns into vengeful flaming or complaining. If there's nothing more new or constructive to say and you just turn to insults and repeating your previous point (as highdrater was) I'm going to dish out warnings.
Please keep that in mind when posting in this thread. Consider this a general note to all (potential) posters, not a warning towards MasterPride.
Wrath, who just resigned after working incredibly hard on AoS for about half a year and fixing everything the community asked for. Had his retirement thread locked because people were thanking him and talking about why they think he left. The communities consensus is that the devs did not work hard enough to allow the game to continue to progress. Also this thread was moved out of the "announcements" section because "this thread was not approved to be post in Announcement." After working on this game for half a year for free he can not even put an announcement in the "announcement" section. lol. After seeing this I private messaged Red, tacticmove in this thread, asking why he was bm to wrath and his response was this,
"Really?
So if someone writes a thread that will involve someone getting BM'd or flamed. I shouldn't stop that because, you know what, a decent number of people think it's productive and maybe entertaining. I should not have the authority to stop something that I believe could cause damage to the community. No, that's not my problem at all. What's the point of having moderators in the first place? You know why? It's because we want to make sure nothing terrible goes wrong, no turmoil, no rioting, Ohhh I bet you love to see that, but that's not going to happen here. You better believe that no other community wants that kind of bullshap."
This to me just showed that there would still be a lack of work on the game but all threads talking about it would be locked because it may cause "rioting".
P.S. this post does not represent Wrath's feelings towards this just how many people saw this situation play out.

Is it just me or do i find it funny that the resignation notes the controlling and delusional nature of the op is again reflexed by the ops comments on mapster which has little to no relations to and certainly is not "owned" by the op although he seems to thing so.
Heard about this thread from a friend, I just want to put it out there, that these guys, (Eckolnovkol/RNG, and his brother Redhydra/Tacticmove) hosted a tournament a while back, where they were the winners were supposed to get $1000 and a free copy of Heart of the Swarm. It took them 3 months to pay out the $1000, and we never saw the Heart of the Swarm copy, so these guys are pretty shady. Well, I guess it's never too late, if you want to give us the HotS copy you promised, you know where to find us.
Also they previously had free hosting for their forums etc, but because of the way developement was being managed, Sidd, the guy who hosted the site for them, and also helped some with developement (?) didn't want to be part of it anymore, that's why they changed the name to Aeon of Storms, because they didn't have rights to the former site name (www.playsotis.com). Also Sidd didn't want to be a part of the project anymore due to "the way donations was being used/handled", I'm paraphrasing.
Just think this is stuff people applying for the site should know.
The UI isn't that difficult to do, not really a possition. seems to me that you guys just need some help learning how to do it yourselves. and as for the data specialist it looks like you need someone to-do grunt work for you. I would think you have a huge fan base, grab one of those guys teach the, and use them.
@highdrater: Go
stop trolling, one post was enough. plus these people are now competing with blizzard all stars so there is no need to make an account to post against them.
Imho, developing dota-style map sounds unpromising in light of upcoming b-allstars. And if there will be some good ideas and overheads in your map (which is doubtful) comparing to it, blizzard will just copy paste it in their map D: just stand no chance.

Remember upcoming or coming soon with blizzard means years...

There is always stuff to work on but you not really asking for someone to contribute ideas. I still suggest grabbing a passionate fan
Whoever wrote that put way too much time into it, they should just have done what I do when I quit or otherwise distance myself completely from something..
give them the message "Fuck off" with no context, and than never reply again.

@SoulTaker916: Go
But there are stuff to work on, like a full fledged draft system and possibly a more intricate shop and hero selection.

@JacktheArcher: Go Haha, are you the last to notice that? ;-)
Does it seem that this thread has turned into something more than just a simple recruitment for a project?
