Does any staff members or other SC2mapster members participate in any mediation?
I am currently in a heated PM conversation with a fellow sc2mapster. I am getting extremely frustrated and I have lost my patience long time ago. I realized I'm a hypocrite now because I've always talked about practicing being professional, courteous and punctual. Now I've sent messages with bold, red, high-size CAP letters (and i regret it).
I am the only one acting like a little girl and now it is at the point where the recipient is taking advantage of this and using my compromised emotional comments to continue attacking me.
I could use some help to convey my message as English is not my native language as well. It will also be helpful having an unbiased 3rd party to provide additional support. Who knows maybe I really am getting frustrated for nothing. I don't really want to use voice chat because I get made fun of my accent since back in the Staredit.net community.
Note: This is not a matter of discussing politics or religion or engaging in a controversial topics.
This is about trying to clarify a conversation, a conversation about talking about a Starcraft 2 map. I'm trying to provide reasoning and purpose to what I said as everything I have said to this person in the past has been taken very differently and in a way that is very hurtful to me.
i'm not sure what the conflict is about specifically but - a good idea is to keep 'on subject' - this can tend to be difficult when personal attacks are thrown around but that gets no one anywhere near the solution to the problem. If it is about a sc2 map. then all related conversation should be about 'that map' and not about each other. if he/she continues to attack you personally then simply remove yourself from the conversation. Probably not 'all that' important if it is about a sc2 map to begin with. Being this is 99% hobby in all. Think of it like this: In a co-op map there are objectives. your conversation with this person also has objectives, Strive to accomplish that objective and leave it at that.
1+2=3
1(personal opinion)+2(personal opinion)=412553213 <- what you don't want. XD.
You have to have an objective, a reason to "fix" this through a mediator (finishing a map your way instead of his or something) and maybe therein lies the knot of your issue, i mean that you have to be clear about what your goal is.
Don't think you'd ever consider me for the job but here i am proposing my help, just pm and i'll be unbiased and promise i won't make fun of your accent.
No you are not a little girl, you are a proud mapmaker/mapmakeress and we like/respect you (we: many people on / off mapster) and would like to help.
Just expose to us individually the facts (via pm if you want) and let us give you our thoughts (he/she is right/wrong or you are right/wrong whatever...), the simple maths of a majority/or not of people saying "x" will help you, and furthermore just typing it to different people / thinking about it yourself will help)
gl
(no hf, because disagreements are not fun, but getting passed these (clearing the issue between the two parties and mostly within yourself) could lead to a better situation in the end, and then greater fun might ensue!)

i don't want to say outloud, I can PM you.
I have experience in mediation and would be willing to help.

Is it not possible to simply ignore this person?
