"And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD." So the Israelites did this."
I never knew the Christian god had a selfish side! Killing people and forcing them to pursue them, that's grade A selfish.
The biblical god does everything for his own glory. You vastly overestimate human life as being too important or grand. Your understanding of our temporal nature in relation to the rest creation is narrow minded.
(Romans 9:20-21)“Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?”
(Genesis 3:19)“In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”
You and I are nothing more than dust. If you and I were instead God, our point of view would be different. Humans however choose to be arrogant and self conceited(Like Satan, Whom was created as the most beautiful of Angels. Yet chose to defy and corrupt his knowledge , and become an arrogant ass;-)
I will be better off in the hell anyway. The concept of real eternal life is just pure madness anyway... think that you are running windows forever and you have noway to reset or reinstall it...
Nah, I heard things are pretty hot in hell and they dont have any refreshment drinks.
More on topic, ok, lets see what potentially awaits us for eternal life:
Jesus said: "To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne."(Revelation 3:21)
So we dont just get brownie cookies and a pat on the head, but we will actually sit on the throne with Christ. Becoming infinitely more powerful and greater than our current state. Does not sound boring at all to me. Dont be deceived into thinking you could never qualify for such glory.
So then your point is indeed that anyone who doesn't 'accept god' ('become a christian' or whatever that may mean) will be smited, except those who have never had a chance to reform? Which basically means you're also telling me I'm in for a ticket downwards unless I convert between now and the moment I die. Is that correct?
All will have a chance to hear the gospel and repent.
The gospel is this(if any one does not know), that ALL are damned to destruction for their wickedness, evil and sins(Which people have chosen by their free will to do). God in his infinite mercy sent his only son to be a sacrifice/atonement for what YOU and I did, that his righteousness may be revealed(`He` payed all our debts that `we` owed him).
This is salvation. People can accept and repent and go on to eternal life, or spit on the Son of God and on his sacrifice and choose to go to destruction.
As for yourself. I cannot judge you(Am I God?). It will be between you and God on Judgement day. He knows your innermost thoughts and intentions/motives of your heart. "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve."(Jeremiah 17:10)
Christianity does not require people to disregard their reason, or to be credulous. The bible does not expect them to believe anything because others say it is so. It is, more than any other form of religion, the friend of free inquiry. The bible openly declares in many chapters that we should test all things, seek wisdom and knowledge, and prove things for ourselves.
(1 Thessalonians 5:21: but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.)
There is an interesting Jesus-related thing going on in Russia these days. You may have heard about the 'pussy riot' thing. 3 chicks had a dance and sang a song in a church, and it wasn't a part of traditional christian ritual. And they had been sentenced to imprisonment for 2 years. The russian society separated into 2 parts: one approves the sentence and the second one disapproves.
Now the interesting observation: the part of the society which agree that girls must spend in jail 2 years for a dance in a church consist of poor, uneducated, the lower stratum of society, small town inhabitants, countrymen, old, tv lovers, etc. And most of them consider themselves as christians. They believe in Jesus and attend churches. And they express hate to the girls.
Another part of the society disapprove the punishment. This part consist of well educated, intelligent people, big cities habitants, high and middle class stratum of society, young, internet users, etc. And most of them are not christians. And they say to the christians "hey, your Jesus used to say about love, why don't you stop hating the girls and forgive them?" And the christians, especially the orthodox ones answer like this: "we don't care what Jesus say, they must pay badly, we'd even kill them, it would be fair".
It looks strange, even absurd, but looks like modern atheists are better and kinder people in terms of christianity, then the people who call themsleves christians.
If I put on a medical white coat/attire, does that make me a doctor?. Or If I dress in police uniform, am I then a cop?
Likewise , if someone calls himself a `christian`, does that automatically make him a true christian according to the view God shows us in the bible?
"And Jesus said :Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?" (Luke 6:46)
This is what Jesus says to most christians , living both at that time and especially now.
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22)
If God were just, he would have actually considered the former option. Physically remove all the evil-doers from existence instead of forcing people to kill on his behalf, and then punishing them if they don't. That's what a real god would do
I think evil-doers should get some sort of punishment, dont you think?. If I killed you and ended your life with your dreams and everything, do you think its fair if I just disappeared in a puff of smoke without any punishment or consequence in this life whatsoever?.
1. Option 1, Judge God as evil(or not a giant teddy bear, or not however you would ideally imagine God)and conclude Fake bible/written by cavemen/Invented God etc.
2. Option 2, Leave judgement to God and trust in his will.
You should feel ashamed for not even verifying those claims(The site seems very biased).
1st Link God wants some people to go to hell
2 thessalonians 2:10-12 (Aka the verse BEFORE 11 included) 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
And then we have 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.(Psalms 16:4)
Let me explain this.
God foreknew his creations. Right, Being omnipotent and all knowing. Yet he decided to create them anyway. He knew what Hitler `was going to do` and every other wicked/evil doer. He created them, and their end is eternal destruction.
Its not "God created `wicked` people to destroy them one day`.

His anger does not last forever. The eternal damnation is totally different, People shall willfully choose sin and wickedness over his goodness and go to their destruction(They think all the cool kids will be there maybe). The Israelites that died off in desert were stubborn, stiff-necked, disobediant, and faithless. That generation of people that had left Egypt. Only Joshua and Caleb entered , Because they trusted and believed in the Lord.
His anger certainly does not last forever. Twisting scriptures will not change that.
I dont really understand the 2nd link.
Ok maybe that's not entirely true. There are actually 189 ways to get saved: http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/saved.html
That link is too funny, and shows the hellbent bias of the site creators in an effort to discredit the bible. But thats ok, shows how intellectual they are and how great their reading comprehension is.
The Aztecs sacrificed 20000 people per year to their gods in brutal ways. If you're familiar with ancient cultures at all you'd know that all the "moral depravity" you listed was the order of the day back then. Also, why is God's intervention confined to the ancient past? Is it so that these claims can be as unverifiable as possible?
Yea, and we know what happened to the Aztecs and the other South american cultures at the time that did all those stuff. God`s final intervention is coming in the near future. He has given us a blue print for the future.
God is clearly shown to be righteous and merciful in the bible. He hates sin and wickedness. He hates lying. He hates evil. He loves justice and order. The evil you commit unto your neighbor(Lying, stealing, murder, etc) brings the wrath of God. Why then do you attempt to justify evil people, and condemn God?.
If anyone suffers the most, Its probably God. Because remember being `Holy and Just` as God is, demands punishment for our Sins and evil. And yet, being full of Love requires mercy and great patience from him. Now imagine trying to balance the two?.
Before the Flood, Shortly after mankind was created upon earth The LORD observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.(Genesis 6:6)
When Moses asked God to reveal himself And the LORD passed by before Moses, and proclaimed, "I AM The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,(Exodus 34:6)
When our sin was so great back in the day(before/after the flood) that God had our lives shortened because his spirit that resides in us is continuously grieved. Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years."(Genesis 6:3)
Open your mind and understanding to the bigger picture.

Forgive me if I've misinterpreted what you've said or if i've just missed the quotes that you're referring to in regards to other people; but whichever way you put it, if you're being punished in hell for eternity, and that is a result of God's wrath, then whilst his anger might not last forever, the consequences of his anger do, and those who suffer as a result of those consequences will suffer forthwith. So whilst you can argue God is never angry forever, people will suffer forever as a result of those actions.
As well as that, what's the point - and don't argue God's grand scheme, because at the end of the day, free thinking beings are suffering for an eternity here, denying his omnibenevolence - of creating evil doers just to punish them for all eternity? Also, the point regarding free will is moot as well, because God KNOWS what they're going to accomplish in their lives, so God KNOWS that they will effectively be damned people from the moment of inception.
This religion stuff getting boring.
So who are,
A Determinist?
A Physicalist?
A Nihilist?
A Gödel or Turing?
A Quantum or classic logic "believer"?
Determinist - No. As far as we know, radiation & the Casimir effect have no cause. Tunneling & quantum fluctuations are merely the mechanisms by which these things occur, not the cause. This is the refutation to the creationist's typical "everything must have a cause" argument. I believe that an errant quantum fluctuation could have a real effect on the macroscopic world in the future, but I'm not 100% on this.
Physicalist - Yes
Nihilist - Yes. But I'm not a moral nihilist. I think science has something to say about whether someone is undergoing undue suffering/discomfort.
Gödel or Turing - Not too familiar with the topic.
A Quantum or classic logic "believer" - Quantum. At one time, the universe was smaller than an atom. I don't believe that anyone can perfectly predict how the universe will develop from that point even if they had all the information they needed. I have to admit though, we haven't nailed quantum mechanics yet and the Copenhagen interpretation could be totally wrong.

Isn't that what hell is for? And all the innocent children had to die to? Again, God's motives for wiping out civilizations fail under any kind of rational scrutiny and I don't see why you think a moral god would do this.

It is biased and it does have some occasional screw-ups. It is still largely valid though. However I'm not interested in arguing scripture anymore as I believe its flaws should be self-evident at this point.

And here you are defending genocide yet again. Yes, the good Christian Spaniards did slaughter the Mayans & Aztecs. They also killed other different tribes/civilizations with millions of innocent people. You really don't seem to get the concept that when you commit genocide there will inevitably be innocent casualties.

No. Just no. An account from the creator of the universe should be something so awe-inspiringly beautiful & perfect that it would bring a tear to your eye. Is that what we have? Hell no. What we have instead is one of the most violent books in history, full of moral depravity and justification for murder, rape, genocide & infanticide. So long as you continue to make up excuses for this, there is nothing anyone will be able to say to convince you otherwise, let alone of the simple moral fact that genocide is the worst crime imaginable.
@EternalWraith: Go
For a religious nation, the United States sure has the most crime and highest incarceration rate than any other nation in the world, quite exceptional. Whereas the much more secular Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada have lower crime. Catholic Mexico has a drug war. Islamic militants are creating violence in the Middle East and north Africa. Christian militants are kidnapping children in sub-Saharan Africa. Israel is mistreating the Palestinians. Therefore, people who believe in the Abrahamic religions cause most of the world's problems.
Native Americans actually had longer lifespans before the Europeans arrived and enslaved and indoctrinated them. Many native tribes were peaceful and lived in harmony with nature. Some tribes even assisted the strange Puritans who latered slaughtered the natives for "devil worship". It's quite racist to say that your god favored the Europeans and that these "heathens" somehow deserved their "punishment". You might as well say 9/11 and hurricanes are punishment from your god.
Don't you realize that biblical texts are nothing more than stories that FALLIBLE HUMANS wrote? You might as well believe in Zemu or whatever his name is, because L Ron Hubbard was obviously inspired by true events otherwise the fiction writer wouldn't have wrote the great book of scientology. J.R.R. Tolkien is obviously a prophet because he foresaw the discovery of hobbits, Homo floresiensis.
Moses and Joseph Smith supposedly received tablets directly from your god, but where are they? Why are some people so eager to denounce evolution - which has been validated by genetics, population experiments, geological record - yet so willingly eager to believe in these magical tablets that no one has ever found?
Your god - if he, she, or it even exists - is far inferior to the almighty Flying Spaghetti Monster. You cannot comprehend the inifinite greatness of Flying Spaghetti Monster for your human was not created to comprehend Its Holy Noodliness.
"In teh beginnin Ceiling Cat maded teh skiez An da Urfs, but he did not eated dem"
1.Forgive me if I've misinterpreted what you've said or if i've just missed the quotes that you're referring to in regards to other people; but whichever way you put it, if you're being punished in hell for eternity, and that is a result of God's wrath, then whilst his anger might not last forever, the consequences of his anger do, and those who suffer as a result of those consequences will suffer forthwith. Also, the point regarding free will is moot as well, because God KNOWS what they're going to accomplish in their lives, so God KNOWS that they will effectively be damned people from the moment of inception.
1. Yes, they will suffer forever as a result of those actions. Just as they can live eternally and reign with God forever as a result of their actions(Repent and forsake evil, and turn to God).
The book of `Revelations` tells us the future and climax of this life. I want to show that mankind will openly refuse to repent and glorify God(Men are not as innocent as we like to believe). They will end up `unknowingly` worshiping Satan(Because they refused to repent). They make those choices. Because if I have free will then I should decide if I want to fall into destruction or not.
In the vision I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water."(Revelations 6:7)
Before God`s wrath is poured out on all mankind, the eternal gospel will be preached to everyone. What is so difficult about simply accepting it?, humans dont want to evolve. The true evolution is in the mind and spirit( “Thy will be done Lord, not mine.”). However many will want to live in their carnal states(as its been throughout history). Satan will deceive the whole world(as if he hasn`t already)
The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him. (Revelation 16:8-9)
The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast(the Anti-christ), and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. Men gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.(Revelation 16:10-11)
2.Yes, God knows they will be damned from inception(See below). That is the unfortunate result of free will. Why shift the blame onto God, and not the free agents that choose these paths?. Should God have made us robots then?, Slaves to his will?, Is that love?.
Or are humans simply too foolish to make the right choice?, Oh no, it definitely cant be that.
I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.(Isaiah 46:10)
God tells us these things all in advance(and you`ll be surprised at how accurate and numerous the bible predictions are). The above verse is 100% true in the fullest sense. How man chooses is his own responsibility.
Your god - if he, she, or it even exists - is far inferior to the almighty Flying Spaghetti Monster. You cannot comprehend the inifinite greatness of Flying Spaghetti Monster for your human was not created to comprehend Its Holy Noodliness.
Nonsense. Odin created the world from the dead body of Ymir, father of the Frost Giants. The first man and woman were sweated out of Ymir's left underarm. All these "fossils" and "carbon dating" are tricks played by Loki and the Dark Elves of Svartalfaheim. If you have died a valiant death, your soul will travel to Valhöll, where you will be given ale & weapons with which to make merry. Within Thor's hall of Bilskirnir, you can look forward to aeons of brawling & wenching with Odin, Thor and other venerable warriors.
How do I know all this? Because it says so in the Poetic Edda. Plus you can't prove that it's not true, therefore it is.
A little bit of advice: don't argue with a religious person about the contents of their holy fairytale book. Don't say stuff like "but God contradicts himself on page 42". Why? Because:
It validates the fairytale book, if someone is willing to discuss the contents seriously, it must be true or at least worthy of in-depth inspection
they always have some contrived explanation for everything (the one about the sun having an orbit of it's own to explain the bible quote about it moving was very good)
if they don't, they'll go to some crackpot creationist site and find one
1.Ask them instead why the other guy's holy book isn't true, or 2.why people like them always choose the religion of their birth as the true one, or whip out the good ol' "we're all atheists, I just went one god further" saying. Anything is better than starting what is basically a "batman beats superman" discussion.
3.Best thing you can do, don't talk to them at all. I really think it's rude and cruel. It's like walking up to a cripple, trying to kick out his crutch from under him and then trying to steal it. Of course you won't manage to do that, because they've had it all their lives and will fight tooth and nail to keep it. The slave collar becomes so familiar and ingrown, that trying to take it off feels like a much bigger violation than wearing it.
1. There are varying degrees of truth to everything. All religions have some truth to it. The absolute truth of `who is the Living God?` is the God of the bible. Why do I believe that?
-History and recording of events(If you aren`t interested in verifying it, who`s problem is that?). Of course its nigh impossible to verify some things given our limitations in both technology and evidence presented, but there is a greater degree of truth presented than that which is difficult or not easily verified(Like the Flood for instance, evidence for it, and counter evidence for it, because the variables are numerous for either side of the argument).
-Hidden sciences and knowledge and wisdom more so than any other religious book or culture.
-Predictions. Forget Nostradamus and his open- to- interpretation prophecies. The bible speaks plainly of events that happened in the past(before it happened), Events that are occurring now, and even whats going to happen in the future.
I will say again, that no other book is like it.
2. I was not born Christian(Born into the Hindu religion). For a long time I cared not about Christianity or the bible, but something changed along the way. Even upon becoming a Christian(God invited me through his means and ways), I did not want blind faith, and so along with the miracles Ive seen God work in my life and that of my family, and studying the bible in depth(very in depth). I came to my current position of faith.
I dont like to think of it as `Im right, everyone else is wrong`, No no. But Im happy that Ive atleast done my homework.
Blasphemy! May His Noodly Appendages lead you back to the beer volcano in the sky, and that you may enjoy His selection of strippers from the stripper factory. Meat balls.
All of these comments are interesting. I have been indoctrinated as a Christian.... more specifically a Jehovah's Witness (Those guys that knock on your door). This version of Christianity is more recent originating in the 1800's by a group of Bible students that wanted to break away from the doctrines and dogma set by the traditional Christian Churches (Catholic. Lutheran etc.)
This particular version of Christianity has historically disputed doctrine and dogma not supported by the Bible including:
- The existence of the immortal soul
- The Trinity
- Going to Heaven or Hell
Most of these traditional Christian Dogma aren't supported by the original translation of the Bible. Most of them were made up during a time where only priests and noblemen could read and whom basically told individuals what to believe in and pay them and follow the rules or be punished *cough slavery/serfdom/indentured servitude*
To sum up the religion as a whole individuals have to follow a set moral guidelines and preach like Jesus did (hence the knocking on your do routine) to spread the good news of God's Kingdom. Naturally there will be a judgement day that will come on some random day of the future. All individuals whom don't follow Gods word will be destroyed and the meek, his followers will inherit the Earth.... We all become Immortal and after that our species will spread throughout the universe.
Don't get me wrong I have been raised in this religion and I respect it. As an individual I believe that it is important to live your life by Bible principles. I believe it is okay to share your cultural beliefs, however it isn't okay to push your beliefs on other people.
As an objective individual, I believe that more likely then not their is a semblance of truth in all religious texts that were embellished by the original authors and things have been lost in translation over thousands of years.
Since I believe in the Hebrew God as being the most powerful creator God of our dimension, then logically I believe in extraterrestrial and inter-dimensional intelligent life through out our universe.
Not to sound blasphemous but the base principals of most religions could have been inspired by these Extra-dimensional beings that were created by the creator God yet fancied themselves as being Gods to be worshiped.
To make a long story short.... since I believe in alien life having an impact on humanity at some point of our historical develop and even maybe perhaps now. I mean from the perspective of ancient men a bunch of guys coming from the sky with advanced tech would seem pretty God like to me.
Is there an after-life. Nope when we die we die. When judgement day comes and God and his angels return to this planet to set things straight genetic representations of desirable/faithful individuals will be re-constructed..... memories and all.
Honestly thinking outside of the box.... The reason why evil and Satan and the other fallen angels weren't simply poofed out of existence isn't to simply prove a point. Perhaps God and his angels have to legitimate battle this guy on multi-dimensional fronts to erase him from existence completely.
If you believe in mutli-verse theory of multiple timelines being created from every little action. Perhaps the being known as God needs to traverse every reality with evil versions of Lucifer and eradicate his evil from those particular dimensional universal planes and perhaps he hasn't taken care of the Lucifer in this timeline yet..... it takes time..... Gee it's fun to imagine.
But seriously despite the thousands of religions on this planet. There is a creator God that specifically helped the development of out species. You can believe in him and be morally upright and perhaps he will recreate you.... or you can be evil and when you die that's it.... no hell... you just don't exist anymore.

2.?
3.Except its not `stories`. Yes, written by Humans, but all scripture is inspired from the deity.
4.Yea, and the same can be said about Al`gores Global warming hoax. People are simply too gullible(For half-truth sciences with their fabrications) . I dont think evolution is a total lie, but the theory is not without its flaws, and using it as a counter argument for creation(Aka Randomness to the power of infinity + more randomness + the primordial soup = Life) is just really dumb.
What we have instead is one of the most violent books in history, full of moral depravity and justification for murder, rape, genocide & infanticide
Yea, I totally believe you , as you are an expert on the bible and your information comes from 100% credible and neutral sources. Yep.
let alone of the simple moral fact that genocide is the worst crime imaginable.
I dont care about the `genocide` of some of those cultures at the time. I dont. You also dont care, but you think God`s Judgment is wrong whilst I believe the opposite.
Then the LORD said, "The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous" Genesis 13:13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the LORD. The angels said "because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the LORD against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it."
But let me guess, you`ll condone wicked male gangbangers and condemn God because you`re obviously more intelligent and capable of better decision making than the Creator. Good for you!.
why create a hate thread? Religion is stupid but people will always disagree and fear what they cannot explain...
Description sounds awfully like an atheist. Though I would replace the word `explain` with `understand`, and it fits better. I think that sort of fear grips them the most. Their closed-minded attitude is amazing, even when you throw science that validates the bible(though in truth, its actually the opposite) at them.
Well I dont believe in god (may I burn in hell). What I meant was for all sides. The need to find comfort in science or in God, in the ends its all just beliefs.

The biblical god does everything for his own glory. You vastly overestimate human life as being too important or grand. Your understanding of our temporal nature in relation to the rest creation is narrow minded.
(Romans 9:20-21) “Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?”
(Genesis 3:19) “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”
Nah, I heard things are pretty hot in hell and they dont have any refreshment drinks.
Eternal life is not pure madness. Its hard to imagine yes. Understand that time is a construct of this universe(created at the big bang) and is `relative`. By all means you can do your own research on the subject of time(If you care/validate from science at all?). Its not so cut and dry as we perceive it.
http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2011/04/spacetime-has-no-time-dimension-new-theory-claims-that-time-is-not-the-4th-dimension.html
The modern church today is strongly deceived.
@Gradius12: Go
If God were just, he would have actually considered the former option. Physically remove all the evil-doers from existence instead of forcing people to kill on his behalf, and then punishing them if they don't. That's what a real god would do
I think evil-doers should get some sort of punishment, dont you think?. If I killed you and ended your life with your dreams and everything, do you think its fair if I just disappeared in a puff of smoke without any punishment or consequence in this life whatsoever?.
http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/gods_killings.html
Yes, all this happened in the bible and for the reasons provided.
1. Option 1, Judge God as evil(or not a giant teddy bear, or not however you would ideally imagine God)and conclude Fake bible/written by cavemen/Invented God etc.
2. Option 2, Leave judgement to God and trust in his will.
Disagree. God isn't even the same within each testament.

You should feel ashamed for not even verifying those claims(The site seems very biased).
1st Link God wants some people to go to hell
2 thessalonians 2:10-12 (Aka the verse BEFORE 11 included)
2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
And then we have
16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.(Psalms 16:4)
3rd Link
Before the Flood, Shortly after mankind was created upon earth
The LORD observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.(Genesis 6:6)
When Moses asked God to reveal himself
And the LORD passed by before Moses, and proclaimed, "I AM The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, (Exodus 34:6)
When our sin was so great back in the day(before/after the flood) that God had our lives shortened because his spirit that resides in us is continuously grieved.
Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years." (Genesis 6:3)

Not sure how this is any kind of explanation/refutation.
There was no flood: http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-noahs-ark.html
No.
@EternalWraith: Go For a religious nation, the United States sure has the most crime and highest incarceration rate than any other nation in the world, quite exceptional.
I think, the Random() function allows strong AI within Turing architecture, despite of the Gödel's incompletness theorem.
Looks like someone finally had performed the Schrödinger cat experiment, it's how the poor nyan cat emerged...
Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water." (Revelations 6:7)
Men gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done. (Revelation 16:10-11)

- The existence of the immortal soul - The Trinity - Going to Heaven or Hell
@michaelknives: Go Pedophile priests... Catholic drug lords... Catholic mafia... Islamic militants... Jeff Warren... Many more others...
Morality/ethics and religion/religious beliefs, especially the belief in the Abrahamic religions, are not quantumly entangled.
I didn't realize a supposed omnipotent being had to exert so much effort to fight off a rival, but then again, he's not Q or the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Meat balls.
P.S. Oh...I get it. God has to illegitimately rape Satan because Satan has mechanisms than can shut down a legitimate rape.
The soul is no worse for its tribulations.
Personally, I don't necessarily believe in a personal god.
But if there is one, I do believe that if he actually looks into my heart and mind he will see something worthy indeed.
I'm kind of arrogant.
1.The United States has forgotten God. Throwing out prayer from School, Forgetting the 10 commandments, etc. The founding fathers must be tossing in their graves lol.

Then the LORD said, "The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous"
Genesis 13:13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the LORD.
