I don't mean racers. I mean games where the fighting is fast in your face and it takes skills to know when to dodge and when to go in for the kill. What are your favorite fighting systems in a game besides fighter games, like hack n slash but more skill required. I like the way this is shaping up
2:07, 4:35 and 7:00 are when they show off the fighting styles.
Anyone know any cool fighting styles that aren't a fighting game, hack n slash, or mmo?
Only ever played Dark Messiah's demo, but it seemed to be a very good system (swords actually hit eachother, blade locks, disarming, very low actual health, etc.). Too bad the game itself looked pretty mediocre. I wish they had put that system in Oblivion (which just sucked).
Bushido Blade for Dreamcast (I think) was awesome. Oh and you're going to think I'm crazy, but the sword fighting game on Wii Resort was AWESOME. I've been waiting for the Wii version of Dynasty Warriors.
Only thing I hate about that sword fighting is that little kids would just be able to swing like a maniac and win. I like the PS3 version better but I rather just have a sword and no shield, or dual wield swords.
I mean the game mode where you walk around and have to fight 100s of enemies like in Dynasty Warriors only you actually get to control you weapon. The dueling was kinda iffy, but I always beat my little nephew by blocking and counter-attacking. The Force Unleashed was fun also with light saber/ force power duels.
I guess you kinda get what I'm into for games. o.O
There was a game that I can't remember the name of, but you controlled your sword with the mouse. It was pretty cool at first, but didn't work very well. After about an hour I got pissed and stopped playing.
@Keyeszx:
Yeah the combat system is still badass though. Wasn't exactly a fan of the game, personally (one of those games that I just didn't like), but it's still an awesome system.

Demon's Soul had a pretty good one. Condemned did too.

I was thinking demon's souls also but it feels really slow at times because you have to be cautious unless you played it all the way through before.
