Even atheists can believe in life after death? No. The afterlife is almost always tied to some god. An atheist believing in an afterlife is like a vegetarian eating meat.
I disagree, you see i dont believe in a god nor any religion, i believe there are thousands of possibilities and explananations to life, Being an Atheist means you dont have a religion, nor believe in a god.
So what if i believe its a possibility that, We are "aliens" with a state of mind so evolved that we dont feel emotions anymore, like machines.
So in order to feel happiness and live again, we created a "video game"(universe) in wich our brains are connected to our avatars (body on earth).
So when you die, you simply wake up on a space station your brain linked to a huge server with thousands of peoples all around.
Right now im atheist who believes theres an afterlife. So thats why i disagree.
It is impossible because your brain will have to carry up more memories and, how old will you grow? Your bones will grow too big, so big that you be gnarled, the older you are the harder life will be for you because of all the pains, can you run a 100 meter course in your 90's? or still smoke age 250 and not have cancer of any kind? will life even continue by the time you are 80? only time will tell, so I suggest we wait for the future and see what happens.
There is a type of crab and another creature I can't remember that live forever.
It has to do with enzymes in their body that repair either their telomerase or something of the sorts, it's been awhile since I read about them.
It's only a matter of time till we can synthetically make enzymes that repair us as well.
It may not be true immortality, but I can see people living a lot longer in the near future.
The human Mind gets all its information Received Wireless. though it may be wired to 5 devices Those 5 devices all get their information without wires(5 senses) There is also a 6th sense, which allows humans to sense other humans and animals. but its not scientifically proven, Whos to say that our mind can not only receive but transmit information wireless? therefore our mind could send all our memories and information to another object. Though I dont believe in Reincarnation, I am just saying that their is a plausible explanation, though unproven as of now, that could support the ideal.
So you're an atheist that's afraid of death. You realise that this is why most people subscribe to a religion, right?
So you took a poll did you? That's so presumptuous (then, so is abiogenesis) but I'll give the "benefit of the doubt" that you're a different person from five years ago.

Its lol that this movie is still not taken down from youtube. Its not an old movie and its pretty good movie.
I very well hope not, because I'd want that guy I killed to stay dead.

Your not an atheist, you are an Agnostic. Its not that you dont believe in a higher being, you just dont know.
No.
Atheist = Doesn't believe in god, but can't be sure in the same way you can't be sure there's no invisible pink unicorns.
Agnostic = Believes that there might be a god, but s/he/it is unknowable or hasn't revealed him/her/itself.
Wasn't this thread a part of some ancient civilization at one time?
Theist response: Ohhh no, but how cant you believe anything? How cant you be sure in anything?
My pic was purged! It seems to have vanished off of my Facebook too. /sadface
