Well the main reason why i said I'm sad is because I believe in the not so happy afterlife as well if u catch my drift lol. (avoiding term Hell in order to not spark an emotional debate such as I mentioned in my post earlier) but as I said I do respect that belief and even find it quite interesting to play around with the idea in my mind from different angles besides my own.
BTW Rodrigo, how u manage to assemble such a large crowd all the time? lol (looks around at the other 500 or so other people viewing posts and the 50 or so throwing their opinions in)
Don't be sad for us who don't believe in an afterlife. Nothingness is neither good nor bad. In this sense, it isn't even something you'd feel. As I have said before, it would be like the time before you were born. Did you enjoy the time before you were born (/became conscious)? No? Were you unhappy? Of course not. You couldn't think during that time. Nothingness is technically impossible to imagine, just like infinity, but that doesn't mean it can't exist.
Personally, I would much rather just die and have nothingness than an afterlife, even if it's bliss.
You nailed it. But nothingness is easy to imagine. Issue is with time flow which you can't visualize. It's like sleeping. The moment you fall asleep is the moment you wake up. When you die technically time will flow till end (or infinity) in instant - For 'you' obviously
you say dont feel bad for atheist... but if you are wrong... then your screwed... if your right, then no big deal.. lol.. its a Neutral/Lose situation, where for people who do believe its a win/Neutral
So you have a -1 and we have a +1, therefore atheism as a whole is illogical.

And if the right answer isn't Yahweh?
You definitely have just as much to lose as any atheist.
not really, if were wrong no big deal, we get same treatment as atheist, if their wrong... hell.. so the point still stands, its illogical, to not believe in anything. thats all I am saying, though personally its not me so I dont care ... lol

So religion is about belief ? xD Seriously that makes no sense. So entire point is to believe and what? Make someone happy (the god)?
Something as "Religion" should not even exist at the first place. Understanding life is what's important, symbiosis, coexistence. No one in haven or wherever you point will care if you believed or not. That's just state of thoughts. Can change in seconds.
say for one second that atheism was correct( I 100% believe that its garbage), Would knowing any of this help you anyway? are you going to be happy over knowing that there is nothing greater then you?
say for one second that atheism was correct( I 100% believe that its garbage), Would knowing any of this help you anyway? are you going to be happy over knowing that there is nothing greater then you?
I just said that belief in whatever wherever means nothing.
I never said there's nothing greater. I never said i'm atheist too :) Again belief is human thing. Your really narrow minded if you think that belief is ultimate ability. Don't you really feel shackled by this? Separated from everything other (not only other people)
So i guess you believe in souls, then what is soul? some unexplained being or non-being. By logic it points connection to higher beings (non material btw). You think that they "think"? That they "care" about your beliefs? They would probably not even care because its all just human. We are in center of attention. Actually there's no center.
Life just is. There's no judge, no rules, no better/worse no good/evil, no true/false. Those are all human made things if you think about it
Allow me to pose you a question. Say that there is a god never before thought of who rewards atheists with eternal bliss, and theists with Hell. You'd be pretty fucking screwed if that god were to exist. The fact of the matter is that there is nearly an infinite number of gods who could exist, who'd each act differently, and with believing in any of them (without evidence, for there is clearly no viable evidence to suggest the existence of said being) is illogical for you would have an infinitely small chance of being right.
I shan't waste more time on a retard such as you. Please, think (I know that thinking may be hard for you) for a second before spewing out such thoughtless, derogatory, and childish beliefs and pissing off a great number of people.
Heres the thing I will quit believing in it when it is proven wrong, and since you just for the most part said your not Atheist then im gussing agnostic right?
Which means you dont know. which is fine, but it still sets on the -1 guidlines in which to me is still agnostic, once again not bashing what you do or dont believe just stating that to me its a no win situation right?
Belief might be a human thing, as far as we know, we cant speak to animals(not where they actually understand us), and the no aliens thing.
As for the shackled part, not really, I dont fear my lord, its more of admire. I dont sin not because I am afriad he would smite me, but because it would be pointless to sin against something you care about. Not that I dont sin... I do that stupidly.
@RodrigoAlves: Go Your graphic is interesting, but wrong. True happiness is way easier when you don't have wisdom, so the wisdom axis should be backwards.
I completely disagree. What happens, if you look at my graph, is that people from the "fake happiness" mountain can only see the big hole of despair that the path to wisdom brings, but there's a much bigger happiness after that whole (for those who get enough power to climb that big mountain, that's where love becomes important because you can't do it by yourself. But face it, to climb that is too hard and most people end up breaking their hearts and falling into that hole, which is a much bigger depression than before. Why not just stay at the small mountain and be what people call "happy?" It's much EASIER).
Yes, wisdom brings more pain and more "intensity" (as you can see the sin graph is becoming more and more intense), but pain and suffering are very distinct things.
ATHEISTS AND AGNOSTICS AREN'T AT -1 YOU DUMB FUCKING MORON. EVERYONE IS AT 0 BECAUSE THERE ARE AN INFINITE NUMBER OF FUCKING POSSIBILITIES. NOW PLEASE, THINK FOR A SECOND OR GTFO.
Everyone is infinitely likely both to be doomed and be granted with eternal bliss, and an infinite number of other possibilities. Get that into your puny fucking head.

I'm none ;) i don't need to believe in anything. I just accept world as it presents itself to me. I don't need any guide in form of book or teachings. I have my own mind and i can define everything from my own perspective. And if its wrong or right is just a matter of conflict raised by trying to imply your point on someone else's
About proven wrong. That's the issue with religions. They are designed to be impossible to prove anything else. How will you prove that God don't exists if it's not reachable right from the start.
Hate to break it to you but when you're dead you're dead. But think of it this way energy never dies. The molecules that make you up will deconstruct and then eventually be made into something else later on down the line whether it is to make a rock or another person a few decades from now. However, you will not be aware of the reconstruction. The energy that makes up your self awareness is converted into alternate uses.
You could say that when you die your life energy is recycled however everything that made you...you when you died will be pretty much lost in the process and only will exist in the memories of individuals that had known you.
-_- Not saing that religion isn't a good thing because if it didn't exist their would be a lot more killing etc. then there already is. :D
I am the same, and that is technically a state of atheism. Atheism is actually the lack of a belief in a deity, not the belief that there are no deities (that's called gnostic atheism). One who has no beliefs regarding the existence of a deity would therefore be an atheist, because having no beliefs about that mean no belief in a god.
