I've played through 1 & 2, not sure if I'll get 3.. will have to check that demo vid later. They're definetely good games story-wise and gameplay is quite good.
I've never played Bioshock... <.<
What's the general background? All the previews and such I've seen are mildly "WTF" inducing for someone who has no experience with the games... <.<
The story of #1 was that you're on a flight over some ocean, but your plane crashes and you were barely able to rescue yourself by swimming to a small island. There you discover that the only building on that island is the entrance to a forgotten underwater city called Rapture.
But chaos and anarchy rule in this once great city, there are barely any sane humans left and all the insane generally try to cut you up.
It's a good looking shooter with GREAT sound environment, a pretty good story and very nice gameplay. Overall a very good game. It could be classified as a fantasy sci-fi retro shooter :P
Bioshock 2 takes place in the same underwater city, but this time you're a Big Daddy - one of the guardians of the Little Sisters who are genetically changed children that are used to gather some kind of wonder drug. In Bioshock 1 you had to fight Big Daddies to get this drug, now you're one yourself, trying to find your little sister.
Overall the game is a little better than Bioshock 1, but disappointing as a sequel because it improved so little.
Infinite seems to take place in a crazy new world with insane people again. I like the change of scene.
Columbia city of the sky, haven't actually played bioshock yet but that city look amazing... just when i thought half life 2 was original (though anything with that theme is from 1984 anyway)
Huh that's funny I was just watching that video before I came to this site. The new setting looks amazing, but BioShock has always had incredible settings.
And incredibly bad character models, and this one looks like no exception. It looks like they're trying to make them a little more cartoony but don't seem to understand they're sitting at the bottom of the uncanny valley.
Wow, that politician guy looks crazy when he freaks out on you.. also, the floating buildings are a sweet touch. Didn't like the first one so much, but I might have to get this one.
I watched this HD fullscreen and bricks were shat, it blew my mind.
The only downside is the voice-over of the character you're playing and the magic superheroes feeling of the second part.
The creativity of these guys are still mindblowing !
@progammer:
Yeah I'm one of the few that didn't like Half Life 2, I found it rather plain, the only upside being the engine.
If you want an original and immersive game, play Bioshock. While the number 1 is more immersive, the 2nd use a way better gameplay.
So, now I will guy all 3 games...

Hm, art style looks ok imo.
