The world ended; the humane world ended and everyone is tryin to survive. What would your goals be? Theres no more law, your a couple of persons, theres not massive panic, we're a bit past that. Theres like, hmm, about 1/20th people left so it's not too crowded. What would you do?

Personally, I think I'd lean towards getting a group and a car and just empting house after house for food, water, medicine, weapons, seeds & misc... It might sound like a cliche, but I think that would be the best way to establish a small community with propper food rationing and then just raiding houses for everything usable.

We should all gather up, and rebuild. Build a gang strong enough and noble enough to call in people and start getting necessities running.

To the mountains is the best option, where nature is abundant.

get everyone a copy of sc2, play it for awhile. Then i guess do those other things..... rebuild stuff

Get annoyed at the sun for getting big enough to burn up the earth... then promptly get burnt up myself.

Seems majority agrees on rebuilding a community, but how would you do it? Would you have respect for the weak and dieing who were still alive or would you rule the survival of your "group" higher and steal the things you needed? Obviously water is going to be a major problem, as we req. so many liters of water per day no matter how you look at it.

I would try to heal the wounded if i failed i will left them. But first i will try to achieve a safe place for the living of my group and i will do what its necessary!

Damn, with 1/20th of the population left, there's no way I would find someone to play Debates.

Ive already built an underground bunker, stocked with long-life milk and organic cereal. An army of hamsters on mouse wheels will at least power up my lighting, hot water and Psp battery. (If its too much, I`ll skip on the hot water. So what)

I`d maybe invite Rodrigo for conversational debating. If he gets too annoying, I`ll feed him to the hamsters.

I`ll then wait it out until you guys rebuild society;p

(p.s. Yes, I`d much rather create a self sustaining environment than go out community building. Bah Im lazy;p)

Well, we can't make a plan and course of action if we don't know the specifics of the disaster. Are things contaminated? Is it war? Invasion? Environmental?

If I'm able, heading to the closest military base and get weapons is the best. Not that we'd want to slaughter more people, but to protect the damn thing from falling into the wrong hands. You know those stupid people who regardless of the crisis think the best way to survive is to think for themselves and rofl pawn anyone who gets in their way.

There was a PhD paper on surviving the wasteland, actually read it, was so funny someone would do a phd paper on that. I remember in most of the cases water would end up contaminated rather fast; so I think the first thing I would do is fill all sinks with water and bottles ect.

ANyway, perhaps for a more interresting question:

HOW DO YOU PREPARE,NOW? Personally; we stock about 100 liters of water, tent, gasburner and full forrest survival equipment (active outdoormanship) together with an inflatable raft, and all my military equipment together in the basement. I'm not afraid of the doomsday, but it can't hurt having the stuff ready for what not, and im not so panicing that I store food, the water is after a serie of water contaminating we had over some years. I think I should start storing some food, and just rotate it every now and then.

Is it too much to have my stuff ready like that, I mean I gotta store it anyway, and I bet if you ask people in floods ect. if they wanted an inflatable raft... yaa, best 40 buck I ever spend, on something I never used, so far....

It's a cool idea. If I can build a supermarket with a gun store and all, I'd do it.

I think it's good. Just like having a fridge with a week's worth of supply. We do that all the time when going to retreat camps/houses.

Well, i'd probably gather survivors, start collecting food, build a hideout (Either take a large safe building or start building up a camp in a forest in the mountains relatively close to fresh water), and slowly get stuff working again. Depending on the nature of the end of the world, I'll find weapons if it's needed.

Eventually weapons will be necessary. We can use them to grenade fish the lake. Or RPG huge trees to make houses and wood for cooking. We can then flame thrower them fish for easy bbq. :D

Errr... I've had discussions about this topic before, but right now my answer simply is "Watch Jericho - that's probably about it".

I would hope that the people left are open minded and teach them the teachings of religion, oh I mean myths. Not to take the literal meaning behind these stories but the metaphorical meaning and live through those standards hopefully creating a better society than what we had before. Make starcraft god would be the final thing. Make sure blizzard survived and bob kotick died.
