i was looking at their career page today (doing industry analysts paper) and notice that there are job opening only for World of Warcraft, Diablo 3 and Blizzard all stars. There is not a Star craft 2 or Warcraft 3 section anymore. i guess they are pulling out all their developers from them??
Maybe they just don't need people for those teams right now and don't want to clutter their page with empty sections?
SC2's last expansion is in the works, so they have no need to expand that team unless they need to replace people leaving the firm or being transfered to other projects.

These are hiring pages, not lists of the entire team. Like Nebuli said, they're in the middle of developing expansions for Diablo 3 as well as SC2. The plans for titan were scrapped, and they're starting over. That means most of the titan team was transitioned off titan and onto WoW, D3 or Sc2. In other words, they have a surplus of people working on either of those games, because they had to shift programmers off Titan onto those projects. So yea, there's no reason to hire anybody in those areas at the moment.

I was chating to a dev several months ago and from the way he was talking it sounded like they have 3 teams, an RTS team, An MMO team, and a Diablo team. If this is how it works, then the RTS team has shifted focus to Blizzard All-stars. Meaning even if they hire for All-stars they are also hiring for SC2, and Warcraft RTS(if one is made)
I personally think you are getting worried over nothing, as has been said the RTS job ads have likely just been removed due to their not currently being any openings.
I'd guess that LotV is more or less done by now and that only polish remains. Considering that RTS games are now a niche category and how there probably isn't much room left in the market with sc2 still running high, I'd say that this is to be expected.
That, and Blizzard All-Stars basically is StarCraft. From a modder standpoint, I'm going to guess and say that they will eventually give us access to the same assets and engine improvements as All-Stars.

There isn't an "MMO" team, there is the WoW team which is probably their team 1, but also the former Titan team which was team 4.
Team 1: WoW
Team 2: RTS/SC2
Team 3: Diablo
Team 4: former Titan / now BAS?
Team 5: Hearthstone
Maybe the numbers of the RTS and WoW team are swapped since the RTS team is the older one, who knows. In the end, it doesn't really matter. I would guess a lot of the senior devs switch around the teams anyways and help for certain milestones and projects instead of being in one fixed team.
Usually blizzard has adopted a "milk them for all their worth" strategy. WC3 is dried up over the past 10 years. Still milking WOW and Diablo is the new baby. And with the last expansion coming out i would have thought they would still try to be milking.
Blizzard all stars is suppose to have diablo, wc, sc.
I assume he means it's going to be on the SC2 engine, or at least a modified version. We probably won't get the assets though, I don't know if they'd want any competitors punking their new game.
well seeing as sc2 looks to be a modified engine of wc3 i would say so. Most companies i see keep using the same engine adding updates. Very cheep that way.
i quote you : "blizzard losing interest in sc2" "milk them games out before you let go"
i quote me : "galaxy is what we are talking about on mapster", what defines sc (for right or wrong by the way)
sc2 is a good "light" investment for them now .. no? galaxy comes with sc2 .. no?
galaxy is the open door to years of "free for blizz" "not developed by blizz" games .. no?
they have heavily invested (since i suppose that is what you mean by "interest") in sc2 as a platform ..
now (and until quite long after the lotv wave has passed) they need only ripe fruits from the tree they have planted .. (so much so that i bet they don't even call it dev anymore but maint now).
the game in itself gets money from money invested .. yes? (only server maintenance remains)
the platform, secured up the a ss as it is, makes mapmakers have to "join" (get endorsement from') blizz to get their games a "proper" bitrate (environment and other) .. yes?
this is more important (to us) than the game itself (sc2 melee ladder map pool or spin offs).. yes?
whether it be for melee maps production after lotv's ashes have settled or production of any "custom" or "arcade" map ..
.. this platform can be the gateway for a decade to come
sounds like investment to me .. how does it not to you?
tldr: should learn to appreciate reading more, just saying
The engine was built from the ground up just like SC1 was. Even if you don't believe Blizz's statements on that fact, as someone who modded both games there is a world of difference between modding WC3 and SC2 on most every fundamental level that for it to be the same engine they would have had to have reprogrammed it so much that it would pretty much be a different engine.

define "interest"...
i'd say the fact that galaxy exists means that that they choose it to be THE editor
battlenet had to restrict it (it s just good business isn't it)
one will gauged seriously their "interest" in this platform once lotv is old
until then, be happy galaxy persists in "being"
