I had a map open. Then for some reason the power cut out, and my computer crashed/forced shutdown. And now for some reason it wont open anymore, if you have any ideas please let me know. Put alot of work into this map.
@Enexy - I can see the original, which is named sc2map, but i see no temporary, its in the exact same location ?
@Monkalizer - I have one version on Sc2, but it is somewhat outdates (and also i dont know how to get it out). The error message is "A Fatal Error has occured"
@Air1: Go
Hm i dont recognize that error message, but it seems like the file has been corrupted :(
The last map you tested is copied to the folder Program Files (86)/Maps/Test
Unless you tried to test some other map, it should be there.
If you published it in the "open" format, then you can download it by File>Open>[Battle.net tab]>[My Documents]
Blizzard have by some reason made it impossible to download your own maps if you checked the "closed" option when publishing.
If you are using windows (I dont know if and how this works), you can reset the computer to a previous state. Try googling something like "windows restore previous state".
For your future work, i suggest turning on the auto-backup function. Its in File/Preferences/Documents :)
Here is a note made by a Blizzard developer with nickname Deletarius in the us forum. Perhaps it could work:
This information from Sixen on how to retrieve a mod or map that may have accidentally been deleted due to 1.5.0:
if you've published your map on Battle.net, you can do the following:
1) Clear your map cache
2) Download/play your map through Battle.net
3) Search your entire computer for *.s2ma, the file that comes up will be your map (since it's the only one you've downloaded)
4) Either rename this to .SC2Map and open it in the GalaxyEditor, or open it with an MPQ Viewer, such as Ladik's MPQ Editor.
The only problem with this method is that you can no longer access your triggers within the Editor, although the Galaxy Script is still in tact. Obviously, this is a last resort type method, as you can still restore your terrain, etc, but again, you lose the ability to use the trigger module within the Editor. Now, if we had access to how the Trigger Module converts triggers to Galaxy Script, we could write a program to do the opposite. But then, of course, people would be able to completely "steal" locked maps by using this method as well
As an aside/LifeProTip - always remember to back up your files.
Thanks for all the help Monkalizer, really appreciated, and ill definatly try your ways, seeing as i did publish in open. :) thanks alot man and ill let you know how it goes :D

There is a temporary file in the same location of your map that has a similar name. Rename the extension to .sc2map
