I have a feeling Mission Frontier will win. (that would be a well deserved win, thats the only map from the list which was recently made and played by lot)
There are many good maps in the list it will be hard to pick 10.
Maybe we should revive the freshly again dead map night by playing through these maps...
Which map was yours? And they didn't send an email at all? I guess it would be a lot of work to explain why to every person who submitted a map and didn't make it, as I estimate at least 20 games didn't make it.

Yes, and when we play through them all, we can all put forth our own list of 10. The person with the most right when the Blizzjudges reveal the top 10 wins (nothing)!
I have issues logging into the arcade website so if someone can notify Blizzard about maps updated after the deadline. This is an issue of fairness since I'm itching to update my map.
EDIT: I just realised that in Australia we're one day ahead which would explain Mission Frontier's June 1st update.
Yeah but sadly the contest rules are May 31 PST.
Looks like it will come down to a small timeframe because he did 3-4 updates on June 1st Australian time.
I would love for them to drop the "no updates during contest" rule. It's silly, in my opinion. Blizzard compared it to an art submission. When art is done, it's done. When a game or map is done, it's expected to be updated for the next year or two at least.
Bugs need fixing. Balance needs constant adjustment. A single game evolves over time; a single piece of art does not.
Most of the submissions were produced by individuals, and as the "owner" of several front-page maps, I can tell you that my work is buggy as hell when it's released and I know for a fact that I'm not alone in this.
I cannot agree more. But, the no updates rule I believe makes it easier to judge the maps. They need some constants like the same amount of time given to each dev and the final state of all maps on the same day. There's also the issue of fairness and properly rewarding devs who manage their project/time better.
If we get more contests in the future then this no updates rule won't be a problem.
This only makes sense if you assume every map was created for this contest. There are maps included that are nearly 4 years old.

it's going to be narrowed down to 10 by them, after everyone will be able to vote.
Good luck to everyone :)
Will be voting for Mission Frontier. Tried most of the entries and, well, I think I've spent half of my free time on that map for the last week.

Does anyone know if this is meant to be all the valid entries, or did Blizzard already select a subset of the valid entries?
If it was meant to be all, I'm really confused why mine was disqualified.

STARDRIVE was made public as an Alpha build on February 22nd, 2014, specifically for the contest.

I thought the whole post was a joke, since there's quite a few maps made for this contest.

Mission Frontier will most likely be disqualified because it was updated after the deadline.
Wow that would suck.
Yeah.
A few other maps made the same mistake as well.

Or... Would it be... Fantastic?

So yeah, please, let us update.

I love how people complain about the rule that was known about the contest since day 1 when that day comes.
This only makes sense if you assume every map was created for this contest. There are maps included that are nearly 4 years old.
You realize Mission Frontier was created way before the contest right?
@Bounty_98: Go
That is untrue. Mission Frontier was uploaded on Feb 22nd.
I'm also not calling for old maps to be disqualified. Not really sure what your point is.
Pretty sure it is this game with updates and a new name....

I suggest you try Fleet Assault and Mission Frontier.
