That makes no sense, Photon Discs has 420 Ranks of Progression to earn titles, badges and unlock appearances. 6 Game modes and 4 map layouts and lifetime stat tracking.
Not to mention that the maps have dynamic walls that raise and lower, everytime you play it will never be the same as the last time.
I'm not trying to say Discs is a lot better (Even though thats what i believe but im bias lol) but on the replay value factor i think you're wrong. :)
sry But Photon Cycles is the best and Photon discs is lagging^^
Well lets see. Did you ever take into account that maybe its you who is lagging? There are way more people saying how much it does not lag than people like you saying it does.
Just think about that before you go around saying something lags as if it lags for everyone.
Not saying Discs has no replay value, its just that its a very Tiring game, I get exhausted after like 3 games, you have to be on your feet for the entire time, whereas Cycles is relaxing, and you can sit there and play it for much longer, therefore adding replay value. Though I am still wanted to see Photon Planes myself, where we can shoot at each other. :D Pull back on the mouse to go up, pull foward to go down lol. D and A keys Roll
You really have to play with the people from the channel to really get a feel for the game, like most other custom maps random players are usually not the optimal way of playing. TDM and DM are the least popular modes amongst the people who play alot.
PS - Hall of Masters is for large player count games, not sure why you dont like it? I guess some people prefer having 10 players on the tiny classic map lol.
For me, both of them are nice games to play a quick round or 2. Nothing for prolonged periods of playing; I have no desire to grind either of them for levels or achievements or whatever (well, afaik, Cycles has none of those, but if it had, I still wouldn't ;)).
Both of them have kind of the same advantages and disadvantages to me: Very nice visual polish, smooth, intuitive controls, easy to learn in general. However, once you played them a couple of times, both lack depth and content to make me play continuously. Still definitely among the better maps out there.
Additionaly, I am not much of a competitive multiplayer guy, that would probably keep me playing a while longer :)
I afraid of it's me who has to declare that because of published [Reworked] version. I'd like not to rush with it :)
I am still learning how the map works and still fixing glitches (now they are almost done: only music and some camera issues left. However I don't know what the last one is about but i receive feedback that it is and something has to be done with it :D ). I believe it will be an announce but only if there will be implemented at least one new feature. Division into two modes (Ranked & Crashtastic instead of just Crashtastic) doesn't count :)

The shroud of Photon Cycles, has fallen.
Begun, Photon Discs has.
Wait for my Disc Cycles, and despair!
Actually, that would be a good idea. Imagine Photon Cycles with bikes having the Photon Discs abilities with a bigger map and walls going up and down.
Must patent it.

@Distrkt: Go
Both are good maps, both have their problems. I would say Discs is more refined, as where Cycles has better replay value.
Cycles lacks of terrain.

I never seen anyone who tried to make a deadly one trick - the Paleontolog's 270 turn.
Amazing trick when you look at it and still hard to make.

I only play team DM or ffa DM.
Iv never seen anyone play anything else. Also tried the "hall of kings" DM, and its way worse than the normal ffa arena.
replay value....is about the same as in photon cycles I would say. Those modes have very little interest to me.
Both are great maps though.

Ah, well that makes more sense. :)

My next succesful map will be photon tower defense. You are a tower-cycle that shoots discs at schrodinger creeps and battle higgs bosses .
Go play Antioch Chronicles Remastered!
Also, coming soon, Antioch Episode 3: Thoughts in Chaos!
