I worked with this just recently, and the models do have several issues, making them hard to use. Do you need this kind of information?
Yeah I just tried them out. Most lack animations, some lack skins and none function as turrets (so you need to attach them to an existing turret to turn).
Some of the attachment points are messed up, they point in the wrong direction (can be fixed with rotation site operations) or cannot "hold" attachments (I don't know any fix for that), which seems to happen pretty much randomly
You cannot apply or inherit the Cloak Effect for the models, they just turn red instead of getting cloaked
Animations are missing or messed up, some models have multiple animations, but all of them look the same, some of them have animations, which look like they disassemble the entire model, most attachment points do not follow any animations
Due to this, stuff like the Goliath Legs is pretty much unuseable (besides static doodads), because you would need them to show a walking animation. For others, you could simulate movement by attaching them to a matching attachment point or a turret.
Some of the models increase the selection size by an absurd amount, if attached to a unit or used as a unit model. This can be fixed by unchecking the Allow Hit Test flag for attachments and not using them as unit models
Some of the models wander around randomly at attachment points, can be fixed by freezing their animation at actor creation most of the time
Some of them lack skins, this can be fixed using Texture Select By Id
This is what I remember from the top of my head, if I remember anything else, I will add it.
Would be great, if someone would fix or re-do them :)
I would post feedback to the developer, but it seems the project is abandoned for 1.5 years.
There's a project page on this site with a whole list of disassembled models, such as siege tank turrets and tracks.
Don't suppose anyone knows the link for it? I'd find it myself, but the search feature on this site was designed by scientologists.
This?
Yeah, that's the one, thanks!
