3. Add a composite chorus effect on top of #2 with a lower delay
4. Reverse the audio
5. Add reverb (play with settings until it sounds clean and not muddled), every voice will have different settings for the reverb. this took me hours to get perfect.
6. Un-reverse the audio
7. Normalize
8. Add Fade In to the tail end of the waveform to prevent too much of a lead-in with the psionic echo.
- pitch down about 3 or 4 semitones depending on the character you want
- add 5 voices (pro) chorus effect
-add 5 voices (sing) chorus effect, but changee it slightly turn it down a bit so it has less effect or the words will be hard to understand!
- reverse the audio
- add the Dark Drum plate reverb effect but turn the frequency down so that the reverb is a short quick piece after the words (or again they will be hard to understand!)
-add flange effect Underwater, again turn this down until it is only a faint hint of the effect!
-reverse again to put it back thew rite way :)
-listen and then pitch up or down. or speed up or down accordingly!
- i also like to add a fade in at the begging to weaken the initial blast just like Mephs did but i usually turn the reverb down lots so this isn't really a problem.
-If you like the way my voices sound in the trailer and you want detailed instructions with my exact numbers and stuff let me know id be happy to oblige. also if you want to know how i did the other voices. for example. the marauder. as the guy who plays him sounds absolutely nothing like that if you guys heard the really voices before editing you would laugh so hard you mite pee yourself. also i have a realy bomb sounding zerg voice that I can write a tutorial for :):)
- ENJOY
check out the trailer if you want to see how my effects sound! you can find it on the Starcrap project page
much thanks to Galiant609 on youtube for giving me the basis for this he gave me some ideas on how to do the voices and i expanded on them! but he is the true mastermind i just attempted to fine tune and add things to get it to sound the way i wanted but i think it turned out pretty good :)
1. Pitch Down (I use about -20 pitch)
2. Add Chorus effect

That's awesome, your voices sound awesome man!! seriously u hit it rite on the head!. Similar to my method that i used in the StarCrap trailer
(i did this with a 5 dollar microphone! however i have ordered a 145 dolar blue yeti mic as i want the voices in the show to be good)

much love, Mark
Helpful thread. Might need to consider moving it to tutorials, not sure what our rules for that are. Nice work, thanks for sharing!
This is neat, I've been wanting to add some sound effects to my map so I might try this out some time.
I think you might want to tone down the pitch down, they're low, but not that low.
