I have always said (and you can search my posts), that Husky (by name) has the ability to break or make custom maps.
If you have not listened to his vlog casts (the latest four, where he started talking about his life), I suggest you do it. Because it really gave me a much clearer insight into what type of person he is, and what his motives are behind the things he does.
Husky is a great guy, now to get Tofu finished damnit -_- ... at least we are working on the website while we finish off the custom art ... so should be coming soon hey ... -_- ... I somehow feel this is like 2011 dejavu all over again ... fml.
Currently I only seen him promote nexus wars and melee mods (wtf bullshit)
But I suppose perhaps even blizzard will start to think more if husky would make valid points and show there are maps that would get plays if there would be possibility to get people in lobby.
No ... we have honestly never stopped working on it ... we have taken breaks for a couple of weeks at a time like over Christmas etc ... but for the most part, since that video, never stopped working ... just a shitload of polishing.
I feel the same way as Zenx1. It's nice to see people like him promoting custom maps, but if it's only to promote melee-ish maps I can't help but feel it's worthless... I don't play custom games which are like melee, the melee as it is suits my needs already. What I enjoy when playing custom maps is to find something else, something never seen before and/or very entertaining even if I play alone. The save/load system in this video is quite impressive though, to be honest... But I think it would be better to try maps that have nothing in common with melee, if the purpose is really to help the custom games scene. At least, it would make some people realize there is much more than just melee to be done, and that the possibilities offered by the editor go far beyond "yet another lame and broken TD map" being published.
@ZealNaga: Go
Of course he has to start promoting custom maps with melee-ish maps as his audience play melee maps.
I think later he will turn to more unique maps.

The reason for this is that meleeish type maps pull their strength from Blizzard's game ... ie ... Blizzard does all the hard work then a stupid noob adds a end condition and calls it his map. Don't get me wrong, there are some really awesome melee based customs out there, but yeah ... Blizzard does the majority of the work.

Awesome, this is really encouraging to see.
Great news :)
Definitely very inspirational to top map more!

lol I thought tofu was dead already

To have a true custom takes a lot of work.
I saw that video myself, and it sounds great. Assuming he strays from the standard "melee with a twist".
Husky on NPR
Husky related, not custom map, but hey it's NPR. lol

I had big smile on my face listening to that.
