Before you try to incite everyone to report a map for inappropriate content you should really talk to the persons responsible whether it's actually fine with them.
Or how would you feel if your car died somewhere on the street and you're trying to get it off the road, then I appear and just blow it to pieces because I thought it'd be a good way to clear the road..
PS: I'm dropping vjeux a message to check this out. I'm not sure whether this is a good or a bad idea, althought I tend to say that it'd cause nothing but more problems.
You have got a point there, I should have contacted Ecko first. But I don't see any problem in reporting the map with "Please remove this old version of the map so the new version can be published." reason for reporting. I am pretty sure that both Ecko and Vjeux want the latest most bug free version to be played by the EU players, it makes the map more popular and more ppl will play it when its fine tuned(not like the buggy, unbalanced v1.1).
1) No maps with the name 'Sotis' can be uploaded afterwards, meaning it would have to be 'Sotis vX'
2) I'm not sure, but i think when blizz removes it you lose that upload slot :/
I don't know if that is true, however the current situation is that the Vjeux can't be recognized as the map publisher(because he reinstalled his Windows). So there is no way to update the map, if Blizzard don't do something on their side. As noted Blizzard does not support the Map editor, so they won't do anything to fix the issue. So it seems better for me the eu version of Sotis to be called "Sotis EU" or something like that instead to be stuck with version 1.1 forever.
@s3rius:
/Agreed.
It is also unlikely Blizzard will do anything about it. Where is the proof that the real author indeed wants it to be removed and updated?. What if its people just lying and making it up?. People could start reporting every map then for this reason. You think Blizzard will just listen and remove it?. I highly doubt it.
Feel free to remove this topic now, its no longer needed.
Just to make sure - is this in agreement with vjeux (and/or the actual creator)?
Or did you think of that yourself?
I think of that myself. Anyway both Ecko(the map creator) and Vjeux are trying to resolve the issue and this seems like the only possible way.

@Chobaka: Go
Still, you have no right to blow up the broken car until the owner gives his OK.
It's not just a question of what's the most useful thing to do.
Dunno I just try to help.
Here is Ecko explaining why the EU can't be updated, if you guys are interested:
