I am really sorry to bother you all ,and i do realize my question is probably a very dumb one but, how do i play a map ive downloaded ? For example, i've downloaded "Vexal Tower Defense" but i dont know where to "install it" , i dont have a download folder anywhere like in warcraft3

1- Open the map in the editor, and hit the test map button.
2- publish it and make it super duper super clear in the description its not your map, you just wanted to play it. I dont know if this is allowed or not, so just do #1

Thank you! just one question more, does that mean that for me to play a custom map with my friends the original author must have played it on sc2? cant we like download a map and play with friends like on w3? Thank you again!
I wanted to know this as well. Was curious because the map says it is released, but how else are people to find these great maps? Rely on Battle.net's updating?
You can only play it with your friends if the author has published it to B.net, sadly.
However, if you can't find it in the list, you can always publish it PRIVATE (unless the author has specifically requested that no-one play it until it's completely ready and such) and host it for your friends, but you'd have to take it down after, as long as you don't publicly publish it, I would think it'd be all right.

Last time I checked, the map is on Battle.net. The one which I have uploaded to Mapster is a map with the triggers and data.
Were you not be able to find it? I believe it is on the 3rd page of the US servers.
