I've created a subreddit to help promote SC2 mods and I need you to post your awesome mods. That said, I'm super elitist- Reddit is a powerful untapped source of captive audience members (the general starcraft subreddit has close to 70k subscribers) and I don't want to disappointing them with poorly made TDs and Tug mods. The keyword here is MOD- creations with substantial changes to game mechanics, custom UI, and engaging gameplay. If you submit something crappy, I'll remove it.
I'm waiting till we get enough good submissions before making the subreddit public- that way people will actually subscribe once it's launched. So it's time to show off what you've got!
If anyone's interested in moderating r/sc2mods, shoot me a PM
I wonder if metal slug 2 really deserves to be there if its about quality. I havent played it but if the controls are as bad as in metal slug 1....its not good...
maps you should add:
smashcraft (by mephs)
bomberbot (by duckytheduck)
I would suggest my own map too, but Im not sure if its that high quality. At best it can be really fun and at worst its quite boring (and I will probly work on that when hots comes if I feel like it).
Hmm...I was wondering is that suppose to news new projects and stuff or promote exciting maps?
and mephs...stop your trolling and make a new map :(
It's not up to me post them. It's reddit- you post your own content. I want people to show off good published maps (of which there are terribly few), and exciting upcoming projects. Metal Slug might not have the tightest controls (partially reinforced by battle.net latency), but it does show off the capabilities of galaxy. 95% of the *5 million* Starcraft 2 players have no idea such mods are even possible. We're getting the word out.
just found this post so now that I know about it, we will work to get our project up there asap. I think we will wait till our next video is fixed but I like trying to get the word out about the SC2 mod community.
I can't see the thing that I posted.
I'm new to reddit. So is there something that I need to do to make it visible or something like that?
I can't even find it with search.
Also, do you need actual sc2map files to be posted? or just information on the mods? I believe not many developers that put alot into their work would be willing to put up their source files.
No no, don't put up source file unless you want to release some fancy single player map in that way.
The subreddit is more for promoting your maps and gathering feedback from a large audience. That said, go make a reddit account and upvote This Thread so the subreddit grows

Sounds like you may have posted it to the wrong place. What's your account name?
also, go upvote this, cuz I made it all public now, and we need that post to reach the front page of r/starcraft

How about Bibendus' Hive keeper?
